Hotel Staff: friendly, available, helpful. There is no housekeeping but you can get new towels by going to the front desk. Hotel Itself-very clean, breakfast daily (we didn’t eat there but it smelled good), plenty of parking. Rooms-there were 2 of us; king bed. Beds were comfortable, room was immaculate. Plenty of towels, toiletries. Walls are rather thin. My only complaint, but it’s a big one, the WiFi is terrible. It’s a big deal when trying to work remotely during part of the stay & then trying to watch Netflix at night to drown out the noise from other rooms (thin walls).

This hotel is a “Fair”field We just stayed. The hotel was good enough but nothing exceptional. The positives: it was easy to park and go in, the room was mostly clean but not totally, breakfast was ok, the staff were kind and helpful. The negatives: the air system was awful, our room was hot and muggy and we could get the air to ever properly ventilate and the windows are screwed shut, there was a pill on the floor which feels troubling in the hotel room, there was hair and dirty smudges on the wall of the shower, the sink drain was slow and I asked for it to be repaired and it wasn’t attended to. Also this hotel is constructed in a way where every door slam, foot fall and sound is audible. Mercifully people were quiet during our stay but we always knew when our upstairs neighbors were up and walking around their room. It’s a cheap hotel, it’s clean enough but you definitely get what you pay for.

I booked this room for a little getaway. The hotel was very nice on the inside(lobby), the room was clean and up to my standards. The only thing that I was unhappy about was I wanted a room with the patio, this was also in my reservations. However when I got to the hotel to check in, I was informed that they did not have any more rooms with a patio available. That was my whole point of choosing this particular hotel because of the patio. Had I known this ahead of time I would have chosen a different hotel. I would stay there again but I would call first to make sure the accommodations can be met.

I sincerely like this hotel and that’s the reason I’ve returned to it more than 10 times within the last 3 months! Excellent breakfast, very respectful staff and oh great location. There rooms are always very clean also. They charge as little as $87 plus tax for a kings bedroom with a living room and sofa! My only issue is why I have never been rewarded for being a consistently returning customer lol.

On July 14 I flew to Detroit to attend a funeral on the 15th. I carefully researched airport hotels. The one I wanted was The Westin but couldn’t justify $340 for 11 hours. So I chose the next best thing, Embassy Suites, still expensive at $200 but I prefer to be clean and comfortable in hotels. Embassy Suites has always fit the bill in the past. When I walked into Room 217 my heart sank. It did not have that clean feel I was used to and had a moldy odor with old worn out furniture. I took photos to prove all of my anxieties. The curtains were old, thin, shabby and torn. The sofa was torn in several places. The table had dried food on it. The beds looked like children had made them up and the pillows were small squares like the size of medium throw pillows. The bed spreads were worn out and thin. There were stains on the pillow cases and make upon one. The towels were shredding. The toilet was so small your knees were up in front of you. I was appalled and disheartened. But, like a big girl, I sucked it up and did my best to make the room to,enable by spraying it with sanitizer and perfume and covering areas with towels. I carry a travel sheet for those…’Just-in-case’ moments which I never thought would happen at an ES hotel. I put my sheet over the sheet and pillow case and tried to be a good soldier. I began to nod and opened my eyes and saw something moving. Startled, I jumped out of the bed and grabbed a tissue to see what this was. I hate bugs of any kind but at this point of desperation, the bar was so low, all I could hope for was that it was a filthy disgusting roach and NOT A BEDBUG‼️ I put the insect in the water glass with a little water and took a picture. When I enlarged the picture I was beyond upset and completely baffled…IT WAS A TEXTBOOK BEDBUG!!! I googled images of bedbugs to see if this really was a bedbug and…it really was a bedbug…smh. I called downstairs and told the desk clerk, Diamond, there was a bedbug in my be along with all the other cosmetic problems, she replied “I can assure you it is not a bedbug cuz we get checked for them every two weeks. I decided to take it down to the manager but that person was gone. I showed Diamond the photos of the condition of my room and she was disconnected. She explained the furniture is not their fault because Covid prevented them from remodeling. Ok, regardless of the reason, the facts were the facts. She didn’t need to prove anything just lend an ear of understanding how I was feeling about paying $200 for 11 hours. It seemed Diamonds customer service skills needed honing. Diamonds words of understanding and compassion were “Would you like to check out?” I kid you not. I was not trying to get a refund, I saved $10 by using Priceline instead of Hiltons site so, no, I’m just letting you know what’s happening…period. I only spent 1 night here, and I was kinda prepping for a typical sort of crappy motel. Is it a luxury hotel? No, no one is gonna confuse it for that. But the room was comfortable, the wifi worked, the shower was fine, AC worked well and maybe most importantly for an airport hotel, the price was reasonable and there was a shuttle available. I really couldn't have asked for anything more in an airport hotel, frankly every major city should have this as an option and sadly that's just not the case, far too often you're in over $100 for the same room or worse. Of note, I clicked ”yes” an outdoor pool is available, but in reality their pool is totally out of commission. Didn't bother me, and in the upcoming months it won't matter, but if you wanted to take a dip, you can't.

I had a poor experience at the Sheraton in Novi while staying with a family member to celebrate a belated Christmas as we weren't able to get together around Christmas proper. While I was upgraded to a room on the club lounge floor, the guest room I received was not clean by any definition of clean. There was hair on the desk and desk chair, hair on the toilet, hair under the toilet seat, hair on the wrapped bar of soap and soap dish, stains on the desk, and stains on the face tissue container. The single bathrobe hanging in the closet appeared to have been previously worn and didn't have a cincture. On my reservation I specifically requested only 100% feather pillows. My reservation also requested a bathrobe, slippers, extra pillows and extra towels. I didn't receive any of those things. The four pillows were four polyester down-alternative pillows. Those pillows are horrible. They always feel like someone stuffed cotton balls in a pillowcase. During check-in I noticed a sign at the front desk saying daily housekeeping is not provided, unless specially requested. The major cleanliness issues that I experienced are a direct result of what happens when hotels don't clean rooms and other spaces each and every day. I received zero Marriott Bonvoy elite status recognition. Specifically, I was not offered the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. I complained to the general manager, who to his credit acknowledged the lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, fully apologized and took responsibility. To resolve the issue, he offered to comp my stay and ensure that the room was thoroughly cleaned while we were out of the room and off-property at a nearby shopping mall. He also apologized for the lack of Bonvoy recognition and provided the $100 cash compensation that is required by Marriott for not offering guest with platinum or higher Bonvoy status the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. When we returned, the room was properly cleaned. The pillows were replaced with feather pillows, although none of the feather pillows had pillow protectors or pillowcase liners. Two clean bathrobes and two pairs of slippers were placed in the closet. The general manager was also kind enough to leave a bottle of wine in the room. My family member was really appreciative of that gesture. Despite the issues, the staff that I encountered throughout the stay were polite, welcoming and hospitable. That aside, there was zero excuse for the cleanliness issues or the lack of attention to what was specified on the reservation The club lounge was open with an average evening offering that included a selection of assorted cheeses, crackers, grapes, fruit and some basic canapés. Besides free nonalcoholic drinks, an honor bar featured cheap house wine ($5 retail bottles of wine) selling for $5 a glass. The club lounge is a nice smaller space. Recently attended a yearly event I go to that has changed its location to this hotel as of 2024. Compared to our previous hotel, I was really impressed. We very much enjoyed the conference spaces and the layout of the hotel. The view is beautiful. There was plenty of space for our event, and all the staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and polite, and overall lovely. Aside from the lack of a pool (it really feels like they need one! lol), the hotel itself is great. I didn't feel bothered by noise on the 2nd floor - and our event did sell out the entire hotel. I heard others complain about paper thin walls, so maybe we just got lucky with our neighbors? But we slept great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I saw some reviews here complain about the location of the hotel, and I have to say we were quite pleased with it. I love not being right next to a noisy busy road like so many hotels. And yet still, right across the street you've got several nice little restaurants, and there is shopping nearby and you aren't far from quite a lot of activity in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti. The restaurant onsite that offers dinner is really good. We did apps one night and then dinner the next with them. I had soup, salad, and dessert - the soup and dessert were both phenomenal, and the salad also excellent. I found the prices a little steep....but some of the loveliest tomato soup I've ever had, so this is a minor complaint. All that said, there were a couple of areas that I'm hoping will improve in the future, if our event continues to be held here. What wasn't impressive was the breakfast. Despite that our group had been told we would have the options of a special breakfast menu, the only breakfast offered during our stay was the buffet, and it was not good. The kind of hotel breakfast that should be free, because it mostly isn't worth eating, but it cost $21. The oatmeal was incredibly watery, the eggs were flavorless and definitely the powdered kind. Everything seemed a little stale...and tasteless. And the omelette bar wasn't even being manned when I came down to have breakfast. My fingers are crossed that next year they will be offering an actual breakfast menu, outside of the buffet. With what they can do with dinner, I know they could offer an amazing breakfast! The other thing that struck me about the dining, is that our event group was given a special menu - we had the whole hotel for 3 or 4 nights. The items on it were very similar to the items (some the exact same) on the hotels websites menu for the restaurant, but the prices were all much higher. When this was asked about, our group was told that the menu on the hotels website hasn't been updated to reflect price increases....that as I understood went up last year. But here we are the following month and the prices on the website menu still haven't changed..... So I do still find myself wondering if our group wasn't given a special higher priced menu for bringing a large group...? The o

Best Fairfield I ever stayed at..in fact, I'd put it right up there with the main Marriott hotels or other name hotels! Fairly new facility...spotlessly clean everywhere. When you can't even find a spot in the caulk around the tub and can see yourself in the shine of the tub...it's spotless! There is one thing I would ask for improvement on. BREAKFAST! Please add to your menu..2% milk and whole milk, waffles, and fruit cups. Cereal with 1 % milk is like cereal and water! Other Fairfields I have stayed at offer waffles. But don't let that stop you...the hotel is in a very nice safe industrial office type area with a strip mall across the street and near the Marriott Eagle Crest Resort and Golf Course.

Great hotel and clean with good amenities. Will be back. This is a good motel with a good price. Also very close to many shops and stores. Price is very reasonable as well. A new restaurant is being built next to the motel.
