The room is very nice. The location is excellent. You can see the Matterhorn mountain view, sunrise and sunset. The surrounding transportation is convenient. It is not far from the train station, about 500 meters, but it is all uphill. I was charged for an additional 288 Swiss FR for “additional guest”. when I checked out. only because I did not put My Son’s name when I did the booking, but I booked a twin room and my son naturally stay with me. not to mention he’s my 13 year old son. they can charge me for additional breakfast. That’s totally OK. but additional person for twin room?really? And Main thing I was not told I will be charged when I checked in. That is not fair I will reflect this to Swiss tourism office.
Btw. The staff are 100% good. Very friendly but I am sickened by the strange policy.

The shuttle service, the reception, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the view are all top class. Prices are within acceptable range by Swiss standards. Rooms were miserably hot to sleep in during the summer. There is no Air Conditioning. Location was excellent. Had to sleep with windows open and ask for two fans.

Top notch service and property. Location is Zermatt is excellent however it can be noisy if it's hot and you need to leave the windows open. Would definitely stay here again.

Ich wählte das Grandhotel Zermatterhof eher spontan aus. Es war die beste Entscheidung. Ich wurde sehr freundlich begrüsst und bekam sogar ein gratis Upgrade für ein Delüx Zimmer mit Materhorn Blick. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, eine Kleinigkeit von Früchten war ebenfalls dazu gestellt worden. Die Nacht war sehr ruhig, das Bett super bequem. Am nächsten Morgen erwartete mich ein grosszügiges Frühstück mit jensten feinen Brötchen und Beilagen. Beim Auschecken hatte ich das Ladekabel vergessen- und das Hotel war bemüht mich Telefonisch zu erreichen.
