Best Western Canton Inn

The room had a damp oder and we had to move room because we was initially put in the wrong room 😑. This was after traveling 1000 miles to get there. I was disappointed the staff did not help us move. J

Stay was good

Ok for the location. Stayed here for a trip to attend a family funeral. Much like a lot of hotels that are more rural, this one could use a real deep clean. There was coffee all over the wall, the sink fixtures were covered in lime scale & pink mold. Some bed linens should be taken out of service & replaced due to conditions. The hotel is heavily used by workers in construction & other labor work, so the grounds definitely reflect that. Cigarette butts, beer bottles & boxes all over. An abandoned grill. Random car parts in the lot. I didn’t feel unsafe at all, though, so it’s all relative.

Very friendly young lady at the desk, very refreshing to experience

This hotel was awful. 1. No elevator. This should be made clear on the hotel website where I booked. Apparently few or no bad reviews go up on hotel website. 2. Stairs were wet and dirty 3. Room smelled like smoke though was supposed to be non -smoking 4. Sheet had a black spot on it 5. Lamps had a horrible harsh light - had to cover with a pillowcase, then pillow had a brown spot on it after I removed the pillowcase 6. Wall above AC unit had some kind of water damage that had not been repaired, just painted over 7. Peeling surfaces in bathroom, including paint around door handle, wall around shower, and surface of tub 8. Shower head sprayed all over the place, and was so high I could not reach it to adjust it 9. Next morning, mud all over lobby. Apparently workers walk in with muddy boots. 10. The coffee was awful. One positive - the mini-fridge had a real freezer, which is unusual.
