A practically perfect boutique hotel which oozes class: we had two rooms, one facing the lake and a larger one overlooking the town and each of a good size. The air conditioning units are unbelievably quiet and very effective. Room decor is in warm colour-washed tones with solid furnishings; around the hotel is a stylish mix of older and more modern paintings and sculptures with interesting little corners and views. Continental breakfasts are good. Tea, coffee and pastries are available through the day in the lounge. Free enclosed parking is a very short walk away, and such a bonus. As if all that were enough, the staff are warm, friendly and happy to help. Stay here and be assured you will be looked after by people who really do care, in a hotel which will leave you with positive memories.

Very friendly welcome by the staff. Exceptionally spacious room nr. 11, very neet, clean and absolutely quiet at night. Fabulous sleeping comfort. Top breakfast buffet with no wishes left. Super close walking distance to the Piazza and some superb Restaurants and Gelaterias.

It’s 11 years since we stayed here and everything is just as good now as it was then. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is wonderful. The amenities in the bathroom are excellent for overseas travellers and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Cannobio. A perfect start to our 3 weeks holiday in Northern Italy.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, with friendly, helpful staff. The original structure of the building has been maintained, and the decor is stunning. You will feel so happy that you chose this hotel each time you walk in! Wonderful location and delicious breakfast buffet, spacious rooms, gorgeous hotel lounge to relax in... I loved Cannobio, and loved staying at Hotel Pironi!

Such an authentic, classy hotel with the friendliest and most helpful staff ever! We had such a great time in this wonderful, historic hotel. The bedrooms are spacious with antique furniture and modern comfy (large) beds and bathrooms, the breakfast room is amazing with frescoes on the walls on ceiling, the breakfast was superb with plenty to choose from, plus the staff are just so kind and helpful. Would go back in a heartbeat!

The setting and staff were really fabulous, although the hotel seemed oriented to a more staid clientele. There weren't a lot of amenities for kids (outdoor space, pools, games, etc) but the staff were still very gracious and friendly with them. We found our family room(s) spacious and comfortable, with a sweet Juliet-style balcony overlooking the street outside. Most of the windows faced an enclosed inner courtyard, which was fine if not ideal. If I were to stay there again I'd seek a room with a better lake view. The wifi requires lots of sign ons and the parking arrangement is a bit curious -- with a parking pad or garage down a different street from the hotel. You can't actually reach the hotel easily by car, but nevertheless but found the parking satisfactory.

Google Nous avons passé 5 nuits dans cet hôtel remarquable et avons regretté d’en partir. Notre expérience nous laissera un bon et rare souvenir durable ! Le cadre ancien et parfaitement restauré est exceptionnel. La salle du petit déjeuner est magnifique ! C’est un bonheur d’y commencer chaque journée. Les chambres avec vue sur le lac permettent d’agréables moments de calme au milieu du vol des hirondelles… L’ensemble du personnel est remarquable de gentillesse et de disponibilité. Tant d’attention devient rarissime ! Le petit déjeuner varié est de haut niveau. Un parking extrêmement pratique complète le tableau sans faute. Dur d’arriver ensuite dans un hôtel anonyme à Milan … Merci à toute l’équipe.
