Aguada Anchorage - the Villa Resort, Candolim

Quite simply an outstanding stay! My family and I just returned from one week at Aguada Anchorage over the New Year period and it was amazing. The villa is beautiful, clean, spacious and well-kept. We were a family of 8 which included a one year old baby and a 79 year old, and everyone was kept happy for the whole week! The villa is part of a beautiful gated community with friendly holiday-makers and incredibly helpful staff (security staff, cleaning staff, gardeners etc). No request was too much and it felt incredibly safe. In addition to our own pool, there were also two community pools to make use of which was lovely. Another service which was incredibly helpful, despite being individual villas within the complex, room service is available to order food, drinks, snacks, alcohol to your villa which we used a lot! The villa has a great location - a short walk from the main road which is full of restaurants, bars and shops, and a little bit further on (approx 15 mins) is the beach which again offers a fantastic stretch of restaurants and beach bars. It also felt safe at night to wander around and the security staff were always really lovely. The Management team on the front desk helped us with everything, both pre-holiday and during the holiday. They were super friendly, great communicators and did everything they could to ensure we had a memorable holiday. We were also given a decent cot for a one year old and a high chair. It's also very easy to grab taxis and rent mopeds from the main road if you need to move further afield or don't want to walk.

Staff at the reception desk is arrogant and unfriendly. We just asked for a small favor, but they let us wait unnecessarily long and refused to help us with the Internet access. We stayed there with our two little daughters and needed to contact the taxi driver to get some food for them.

The furniture in the villa gave an traditional look & we enjoyed staying at the villa, Sheetal & Maria helped us in every aspect, will surely recommend my friends & other family members. The security personnel were brilliant as we checked out very early in the morning, but they were ready to help us so early in the morning.

I stayed here with my parents, uncle and aunty in their three bedroom villa. The team at Aguada Anchorage was amazing and very very helpful in guiding us where to go in Goa. The property was very clean and well maintained with great facilities. They were also very helpful as my uncle and aunty are elderly. The property is 5-10 minutes walk from restaurants and 5 minutes from the beach. Lovely stay, highly recommend.

The description of these villas is remarkably unrealistic. I was expecting a beautiful villa with a nice seating area and clean and tidy kitchen. I arrived and quickly scoped out the villa, I was hopelessly depressed. The villa assigned to us looked nothing like the photographs. The living space looks like a bad Indian restaurant from the 1980’s. Rock hard banquette style sofas, no television. Filthy old kitchen with a rusty cooker, smudged and grimy toaster and kettle. Most rooms have a blue film on the windows which adds a dingy feel to the space. No where to eat outside. All the furniture looks like it was rescued from a skip. Ok I’m British so what? I was expecting a pretty decent villa, and this is absolutely horrible. All the villas on the compound look dirty on the outside grimy with moss, cracked tiles and leaves and rubbish everywhere. I ventured to the communal pool, again in total disrepair and the pool its self looked like a scene from a bad horror movie with dead frogs floating in the murky waters amongst branches and leaves. We have complained, and we will be looking for a refund. I just want to go home.!!!!

Property was very clean, rooms were spacious with all the facilities available. It’s a premium properly I didn’t feel anything missing here. Sinquerim beach Is at walking distance from the resort.
