What can I say. We absolutely loved it. We paid for a premium room and was on the 9th floor overlooking the pool with a great sea view. On arrival we had bathrobes and slippers as well as complimentary bottle of cava and cakes and chocolates. Each day around teatime someone knocking on the door offering complimentary chocolates. The staff were all brilliant,kind and smiling especially Arminda at the pool bar. The food in the restaurant was plentiful and tasty with different theme nights Indian,Italian,Spanish etc, and nothing was too much for the staff. It's around a 20 minute walk to Candaleria but there is a gradient on returning. We highly recommend the Catalonia Del Rey and will definitely be returning.

The only single disappointing thing that we found was that there were no steps in the pool for those children who couldn't swim and were quite rightly kept to the "shallow" area. This would have made things so much more easy for my family members and I as we would not have to stand on the edge and lift my granddaughter out. Apart from this we have absolutely no complaints; the accommodation and food were exceptional and we had a great time.

We arrived on the 11th February quick check in but requested a walk in shower and near the lift as my partner has mobility issues got walk in shower but our room was the furtherest away from the lift the hotel should make note the food was lovely but instead of putting green herbs over the food the chef should have it in a bowl so guests can take it or not the drinks were ok but the mixers like coke wasn't nice one thing to have the snacks on after evening meal even if it was just sandwiches and bread for toast and pizza the breakfast should open a bit early to allow guests to get breakfast when u have a early morning flight as some people can't eat pastrys

Catalonia Punta del Rey has a warm atmosphere with a variety of entertainment options. The decor is a little tired, but everywhere is very clean. A cleaner and fresh towels every day. The staff are all lovely. There are plenty of food choices and the quality is good for a 3 star. There is a kid's club but I didn't see much for children to do. There are adults only areas if you wish to avoid them. The pictures here are accurate, i.e. not touched up by marketing. The hotel was at capacity but everything still ran like clockwork. No more than a 2 minute wait at the bar or for a table in the restaurant. If you are looking for nightlife this isn't the hotel for you. If you want a good value, relaxed, peaceful break, the Punta del Rey is ideal.

Plutôt une bonne surprise que cet hôtel suite aux lectures des précédents commentaires. Nous avions opté pour une chambre Premium en tout compris, et nous le recommandons. La chambre est rénovée et confortable, et nous avions accès à la piscine haut de gamme et à l’espace Premium jacuzzi à deux pas de l’hôtel (absolument pas un problème). Calme, confort assuré et possibilité de nager malgré l’affluence en cette période. Possibilité d’obtenir des serviettes pour la piscine (moyennant caution). Le personnel est aux petits soins. Quant aux buffets des repas, ce n’est pas une cuisine gastronomique, mais très correcte et des nouveautés à chaque repas. Nous n’avons eu aucune mauvaise surprise. En résumé, nous qualifierions cet hôtel d’un bon rapport qualité prix et permettant de prendre le soleil en cette période de l’année à coût raisonnable.

So a Week has gone by, and here is me & wifes take on this place: -Staff and Other Crew are Great and hard workning, polite and serviceminded :-) -Regular rooms are good, but needs a make over, very small bathroom, but bed are great and fan is good. -Food is divers and there are something for all, even "fussy" eaters, every night there is a new menu, chosen from some country. We where there a hole week, and we did not get arround the hole menu, thanx to Simona for taking care off us a Diner servings. -Bars are there plenty off, every where you go, theres a place to drink, water, coffe, beer, sodas, the and differant Juice. -Entertainment is very divers, We saw Soul divas fra Cape Town, what a great show, there was a Female singer, that ran us trough alle the black female Singers from 70-99, she also did good. -New years eve, there was Elvis at the main show bar, and we did not like it, so we went to the Teide bar, where the resident female DJ played, and that was great :- ) she is on instagram as: Djluuh. -There is a lot to do all day, darts, petanque, pool, snooker and the animation teamare great at gettin people to partecipate. -There are sunbeds for everybody by the main pool, and i do NOt get the thing with people standing in cue, at theh other side off the road with theh infinty pool, we never had a problem with sun beds there. All in all a lovely place and we are sure that we will return :- )
