Linh Phuong 8 Hotel - 24 Hours Stay

It was a busy weekend in Can Tho as all the major hotels were booked and Lan Vy was one of the few available so I thought I’d take a chance. I reserved a room on *********** and upon approaching the hotel all I could notice were the weeds popping up from the pavement and the scads of garbage out front. The lobby was dark and unwelcoming. These factors made me ask to inspect the room before agreeing to stay. Myself and my 3 friends took the elevator up to the room and were overwhelmed with the stench of mold. I kneeled on the bed and the mattress was harder than a rock. The real kicker was that the rooms shown had no windows. Needless to say, we left as soon as we arrived. I don’t usually review hotels that I’ve never ‘slept’ in, but I’m making an exception here as it’s unsafe and wholly unhealthy to sleep in a room(s) that has noticeable mold issues. The owners of this establishment should be on notice. That said, once we informed the front desk that we wouldn’t be staying the night, they didn’t make a fuss.
