I booked our first family holiday with our 9 month old. I chose can picafort palace as the reviews were good, the location, photos etc. The feeling we got from day one was, we were not welcome. The staff are so miserable and rude. I don’t think any of them smiled at us, considering we are walking around happy to be on holiday, they were so unhappy and almost frowning at us. I brushed it off but over a few days it really bugged me. To sum it up, we went into dinner, saw the same miserable woman asking for our wrist bands, even though it was dead and we’ve seen her about 20 times. Sat and ate food. Drinks waiter took our drinks order, asked to see our wrist bands. We then went across the pool. Same waiter comes over, we asked for our drinks, he then asks for our wrist bands again. Bearing in mind it is almost empty, the hotel has hardly anyone in there. We moved to the indoor area and asked for drinks, the same barman asked to see our wristbands again. The same barstaff over 3 days asked us every time. But it was t just him, it was every staff member. Everyday. That didn’t bother me but just made me feel a little unwelcome. It was when we talked to staff, I would say thank you or hello in Spanish and they would be so sarcastic and rude. The entire service team were unbelievably impolite. Barring a couple who actually smiled and came up to our baby. Our room was ok, the air conditioning stopped working after one day. The food gave both myself and my wife really bad stomachs. The swimming pools and entertainment was good. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’m not sure if it was because we were English or not, but the vibe we got from the place was so unwelcoming. We left half way through it was that bad. It’s hard to say over a review just how bad the customer service is. I have never left a hotel/holiday early. I lost half our money. I contacted the hotel and no response. I didn’t ask for money back, just a reply but nothing. Almost ruined our holiday. We moved to sa coma beach and had an amazing rest of our holiday
