BQ Apolo Hotel

The hotel was good in general however on our first night we found quite a few tiny ants crawling around the pillows and bed area and my toddler got bitten all over his face and arms, i then went to the reception the next morning and told Cristobal (he was not very nice) and he said we may have left food out and that’s why the ants came but we never eat anything in the room. He said he would send house cleaning. They put a spray on but ants were still there so the second day i went to reception again and this time was lady called Sol who was lovely and changed our room immediately without any hesitation.

Lovely hotel in a great spot, with a great buffet breakfast for 12 euro, near the sea front and the bus into Palma. Small room with a balcony, overlooking out to Palma, great for one night stop over with landing late into the airport. Small outdoor and indoor pools.

The BQ Apollo was a perfect location for us, only 10 minutes from Palma airport, It is a small hotel with little entertainment for children which suited us well as we just wanted a chilled holiday. We were bed and breakfast board. And there was a superb choice for both cooked and continental breakfasts. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was really clean and we got fresh towels and bed linen on a daily basis until our last days. The pool was lovely and we experienced no issues regarding acquiring a sun-bed no matter what time of day we arrived. The lifeguard on duty was great. Very observant. We moved places around the pool and she noticed I had left my glasses. And alerted me. It is close to local restaurants and the supermarket. There was also a flat walkway, stretching from Palma to Arenal, that we used on a daily basis for exercise. It also had an adjacent cycle path. It was within easy access to a local hop on and off tourist train which was very popular. There were only two down points and one can’t be changed. The hotel is on the flight path into Palma airport but you do get used to the noise of the planes. The second is that the shower is very high and it would be nice to have a middle fixture so your hair doesn’t get wet … a ladies issue. :) But I would recommend the BQ Apollo for a relaxing holiday.

Very nice hotel in a great location.. the staff are very helpful & so friendly.. the breakfast is very good plenty of variety with Omlettes .. eggs .. pancakes to order .. The bar serves snacks etc food & drinks during the day again lovely food..Plenty of sun-beds ..nice size pool.. plus free pool towels.. Nice size rooms but the only fault I found was only 1 drawer & no shelves to put clothes.. there is an open inset wardrobe & plenty of hangers eventhou I took a few travel ones.. i layed my hubbies shorts & T-shirts on the bottom & I put our underwear in the drawer ..there is a safe & a nice size bathroom with a walk in shower plus a hair dryer on the wall.. shower gel & shampoo supplied ..nice comfortable beds with small cabinets either side but again no drawers .. nice size TV on the walk plus a nice balcony with a table & 2 chairs & a pull out wash line.. there is 6 floors with 2 lifts.. we was in room 107 & had a nice view.. if you book on their website & become a member you get a 5% discount plus a free drink on arrival.. We will definitely return in the future .. can’t wait !
