We always stay at the Carlyle when we visit San Jose Clean and economical.Staff is always friendly and helpful. This time ,we did have one inconvenience. Our room faced Camden Ave All night we could hear drivers revving their engines and playing their loud stereos. Next time, I will always ask for a room away from Camden

The property was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly during check-in. Allowed a 12pm checkout instead of the normal 11am. Check-in staff forgot to tell check-out staff. Check-out staff calling our room phone every 15 minutes after 11am, even though we communicated twice we were given a 12pm check-out time. Called four times, last 2 times, I did not bother to answer phone. Left at noon, as agreed. I was charged $100 for property damage. When I ask for details, all five emails go unanswered after a response to my first request for a receipt (which they did not send). The stay was fine, just horrible customer service and shady business practices. I am still waiting to dispute the $100 property damage charge! Very poor customer relations.
