I am usually a regular customer of Tavernetta and have always appreciated the service and the quality of the food during my summer visits. However, during the New Year's Eve dinner I encountered some critical issues that disappointed me. The food served was cold and of poor quality, the rooms were overcrowded, compromising the festive atmosphere of the evening. I made the difficult decision to leave the place before midnight. This perception negatively affected my evening and my overall perception of the event

The view for those who love the sea is commendable, but the suffocating heat of these summer evenings does not allow dinners outside to enjoy the panorama. The graduation takes place inside, on the upper floor. Nothing to complain about the excellent fish dishes, a little less about the vegetarian dishes, very banal. The rooms are dated late 80s/90s. Well-kept yes, but a general modernization of the entire structure would be needed. Even the external balconies overlooking the gulf, are made of metal a little rusty here and there. Unfortunately the so-called "sea view" is not enough. Certainly you can have a small party there but it is certainly not a location for large events such as weddings. Good service. The air conditioning in the bathrooms is recommended.

I was there for my nephew's wedding and I have to say it was an excellent choice. Very elegant hotel from which you can enjoy a wonderful panorama from which you can see the entire Ionian coast. The primary excellence is the catering: I have never eaten so well and everything is fish-based!! Obviously accompanied by an excellent white wine!! Compliments to the structure and the chefs!! Domenica sera 26 luglio in occasione di un matrimonio sono stata ospite nella struttura, a me già nota per diverse occasioni, nulla da dire sul cibo, dal ricco buffet di antipasti per finire a quello dei dolci, tutto ottimo e gustoso ma il servizio e stato pessimo , alcuni camerieri indisponenti, maleducati e strafottenti , con tanto di risposte date anche in dialetto io in una struttura così non me lo aspetto di certo , e un peccato penalizzare lo staff della cucina per chi poi non ha l'amore di servirli!!!

Grazie a voi abbiamo realizzato il nostro sogno d' amore! Siamo stati benissimo, siete fantastici, super organizzati e sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni esigenza del cliente. Il panorama è mozzafiato anche nel mese di Dicembre e anzi lo consiglio vivamente per il matrimonio perché, con gli addobbi natalizi, il tutto è ancora più suggestivo. Lo staff è straordinario, specialmente il signor Domenico e il direttore di sala Domenico. Con loro realizzerete il vostro sogno! Grazie di cuore ❤. La cucina è eccezionale, dall' antipasto a buffet ai primi e i secondi. Per non parlare del buffet di dolci!Tutti sono rimasti colpiti dai piatti colorati e saporiti incorniciati dal panorama blu mare che gira intorno. FESTEGGIATE ALLA BAIA E NON VI PENTIRETE! The location is a lovely place overlooking the sea .Spectacular view, good food, kind staff, unfortunately the flaw for us is serious, are the rooms, poorly maintained, with sufficient furnishings, uncomfortable mattresses, but then insufficient cleaning with linen change not even after 3 days, the fixtures in the bathroom never cleaned and a quick wipe on the floors.

I stayed here a week in 2018, 2 weeks in 2019, 3 weeks in 2020, and 2 times in 2021. Each time the room or apartment was sub-standard for a 3-star hotel. Among the issues: leaks, mildew, warped doors or windows, ragged towels etc. Then the week I stayed in 2022... The room was super disappointing; missing light bulbs, sloppy paint work, termite damage in the window frame with the telltale sand residue, no way to make coffee in the kitchen, an unusable hairdryer --wall mounted power with hand holdable nozzle but no hose between the two. Random trim pieces previously stuck to the walls with insulating foam not adhesive were missing around doors. The most disgusting part was the shower with cracked porcelain shower pan that leaked and heavy black mildew and Serratia marcescens bacteria. GROSS. I complained to the party that booked the room. Apparently it was already known because nothing was addressed. See photos. A beautiful location does not compensate for a terrible room.
