Travelodge Cambridge Swavesey

Nice spacious room but situated near the M11 motorway so will hear noise if window left opened but when closed no issues as doubled glazed. Fan provided in room as no aircon, but still very hot when window kept closed. Lack of plug sockets in room, especially near double bed. Room not cleaned properly as hand print left on wall near to bed lamps (see pics) Only a small American dinner on premises called Herbbies but not for us as looked a bit run down. So took 5 min drive to services on the opposite side of motorway for food outlets like Mc Donald's, KFC, etc. Free carpark with lots of places to park at hotel. Only 30min free wifi, so an additional £3.50 for extra. Very poor signal & connection in the area so why charge for WiFi? No net curtains especially when room overlooks carpark. Asked receptionist in arrival for quiet room away from motorway and was put in room overlooking motorway, so she totally ignored my request. Shower fitted over a low bath so could be a problem for some guests. Also couldn't see a lift to our 1st floor floor so walked up stairs with all our cases.

Management at this hotel needs looking at, absolutely disgusting behaviour upon checkout. We didn’t expect our children to hear the so called manager talking about staff in such a terrible manner and swearing on the phone. Dirty room, bathroom was worse, no spare pillows and the fan was full of dust. Dave your money and go elsewhere

Pleasant stay on our way to the airport. Everything was as it should be and really convenient. Easy check in and easy check out.

Hotel suited my needs. Room was cool with windows open and fan in room little loud at night time with freeway next to the hotel but not too loud. Clean and friendly place. Geradine was friendly and nice.

Stopover on way to the airport. Nice hotel and room, clean and tidy just what's needed. Hotel team friendly and caring and wanting to actually help if needed. Hotel had a Diner attached that was nice also.

Was a little hard to find in the dark. The hotel is basic but clean and tidy. Room was comfortable. Extra tea and coffee easily available and a water dispenser in reception which is good. Karen, on the reception desk found us a hairdryer as we forgot ours and even managed to find a fan which was much appreciated as there wasn’t one in the room when we arrived. Hotel doesn’t have AC but when we booked it didn’t have the little symbol so wasn’t really a shock. Would be nice if it did especially in this heat.
