Cambridge is an expensive town. That said, the price of the room did not reflect the amenities or the size of the room. Basically, the bathroom was so small as to be useless, and the bedroom very poorly lit and felt cluttered.
The hotel is on top of a very cozy pub near Jesus Green, and within a comfortable walk to city centre. The room was clean and relatively quiet (the pub/hotel are located at a big intersection with frequent traffic).
It would be ideal if the room price was closer to 100£, rather than 200£…

Nice, shower, sheets, comfy mattress, but a bit spoiled by the damp stains all over the walls. room needs a bit of tlc. Staff lovely and most helpful.

Cutest room and bathroom with outstanding service. Hannah and Cherece were extremely helpful with communications/customer service and our stay was thoroughly enjoyed. The included full English breakfast was the perfect end to our stay.

So glad my friend and I booked a room here. It's a lovely building and the pub is great with a very nice deck out back. The lunch we had was great, and the breakfast we ate in the attached cafe was delicious. Staff was EXCELLENT and so kind and helpful. Our room was a little smaller than we expected, but it was fine. We had booked a deluxe double room, so we needed to split the double bed apart to make 2 twins. The hotel didn't have another duvet for us, but we just used a few extra sheets for cover. The bathroom was also a little tight, but nicely done and the shower was good! The Waterman is a bit out of the center of town, but easily walkable and it was surprisingly so quiet at night. Didn't hear a bit of noise from the other rooms, either. I'd surely stay at The Waterman again!

A pleasant neighbourhood local with food and rooms. The service is indifferent and the beer is average. I had three pints of which one was lacklustre, one was flat and was replaced , and one was ok. The staff seem to be more interested in playing with their laptops.Perhaps they should concentrate on serving a smaller number of real ales in god condition.

This place is lovely; staff are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are cosy and even though we had a room overlooking the main street we did not experience any noise at all. The bed is comfy and we were provided, without asking, a fan to cool the room down. Breakfast - great. So near the city centre, just cross the bridge and you are there. Also, a Co-op across the road for picnic items etc. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.
