Sorrento Hotel & Restaurant

I can’t speak highly enough about this hotel! I was there for a charity run I was completed and out of all 9 locations I went to this was by far the best purely due to the staff and owner! Pino(the owner) couldn’t do enough to help us. He lent us his bike, did our washing, provided us with breakfast and really looked after us. The double room was so spacious and immaculate. They have a restaurant attached and offer the best pizzas. Pino really restored my faith in humanity and for that- I will 100% be going back. Thank you Sorrento x

Excellent hotel, spotlessly clean. Room had everything you needed for a short stay. Breakfast was great. Can't praise all of the staff enough. The hotel has it's own Italian restaurant with big serving great pizza.Excellent bus service to the city centre on the doorstep. Highly recommend!

I booked a two night stay for my wife and I. Although I thought the cost to be on the expensive side, the photos of the room and hotel on the website were encouraging. On arrival, I was able to park at the rear of the hotel, but it seemed that the carpark was also used by non-residents, a car hire firm in particular. The hotel frontage and reception were very clean, bright and welcoming, with the staff being very friendly. Our room was a reasonable size, but very disappointing. It looked nothing like the standard shown on the website. The furniture was dated, the decoration was of an extremely poor standard and, although the room was clean, it looked grubby where it needed redecorating. The carpet was dated and had a line of paint along it, dating back from when the skirting was last painted. Our toilet door was sticky, the bathroom light pull hung down where the door was and the extractor was very noisy. Our room was on the ground floor next to the rear entrance. The outdoor smoking area is at the end of that path so, anyone making their way to and from the car park or smoking area walked past our bedroom window. The nights were very noisy from the restaurant, hotel and neighbours. People coming and going kept disturbing us and not everyone bothered to make it to the smoking area to smoke, and not everyone smoked purely tobacco. The pillows were uncomfortable and I did not enjoy a good night's sleep. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant, which is a separate concern from the hotel, was excellent. Overall, the hotel was disappointing, overpriced and not good value for money.

Stayed with family for three of us to have surgery at addenbrookes which is a very short taxi ride away. Lovely staff, really helpful phoning taxis etc as we are not local. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of tea coffee toiletries etc. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and hot. Would stay again for definite. Thank you 😊

Pleasant hotel, spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff and on site parking which is a bonus. Price included breakfast which was very good and plentiful. Great location for visiting Cambridge if you have a car to get in to the City. Would stay again

Lovely homely hotel the warmth and friendliness helped me enormously. I stayed here while my husband was attending Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Unfortunately things didn’t go to plan and I needed to stay longer than expected. The staff were so helpful during a very stressful time. Thank you to everyone. So now I will give my opinion on the hotel itself. The rooms are very tastefully appointed with very comfortable beds.The bathroom spotlessly clean. Super food with an extensive menu. Plus fresh pizzas cooked in a pizza oven. I give this hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very enjoyable stay. Food very good. Staff friendly. Quiet hotel despite a lot of people staying. Very useful parking. On a bus route but easy walk into Cambridge.
