Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach

The room was perfect the views were wonderful. I like the swimming pool and the ability to relax. We were able to walk across the street and walk on a trail that follows along the beach. We could also walk to several restaurants from our hotel and enjoy outdoor dining.

Exceedingly clean and fresh room. Great beds! We stayed in a "partial ocean view" room at a premium price, and the description is a stretch. From the chairs on the patio, you look through the foliage and across the parking lot to get a sliver of a view. Go for full ocean view or save some money with a standard tion, and sit at the chairs at the front of the hotel for your view. And ... the only mirror is over the sink in the bathroom. We were getting ready for a wedding, and had to take turns in a steamy bathroom with finishing touches. Sounds minor, but it's something that could easily be addressed.

Great bed and pillows. Could have used another mirror so that one person could be doIng makeup, or whatever, while the other showers. Also need full length mirror. Definitely need a better coffee system, like Nespresso or at least Keurig. A ceiling fan would be good.

Lovely inn on the quiet part of Moonstone Beach. Cozy traditional king room with a fireplace (oddly placed in our room but enjoyed it sitting too far away) on built-in bench. The room should've had chairs around the fireplace IMHO. The windows don't open so there was a fan in the room which was appreciated to circulate the room air. Room was larger, bed comfortable, amenities are good, but thought charging for bottled water was a little too much for what you are paying for the room. Although our room was on the backside of the property and appeared to back up to Hwy 1, it was very quiet at night. The boardwalk along the beach is very near to hotel and a nice walk. I deducted one star because the promised morning coffee and breakfast snacks in the pool room was not there (us and 3 other couples were looking for it) and the front office was locked at 8:15 am. No note on the room door explaining lack of coffee or anything else. Overall, did enjoy our stay and would return but probably mid-week when prices are more reasonable.
