Simplesmente maravilhoso. Os quartos são enormes, muito confortáveis e decorados com bom gosto. O local é muito agradável e fica pertíssimo da Régua e do rio Douro. O pequeno almoço é digno de um hotel de 5 estrelas, com muita variedade, produtos caseiros e frescos. Além destes pontos positivos, o facto de os anfitriões serem de uma simpatia inexcedível, faz com que a nossa estadia fosse memorável. Dou 5 estrelas porque não é possível dar 6. Voltaremos garantidamente.

Na een bezoek aan Lamego hebben we dit B&B opgezocht en waren direct gecharmeerd. De gastheer maakte een korte rondleiding met ons in het verblijf. We hadden een heel ruime, ietwat verouderde kamer met grote badkamer en veel opbergruimte. De Wifi werkte niet altijd naar behoren. Een klein, proper zwembad zorgde voor de nodige verkoeling op de leuke binnenruimte. De dag erna waren we aangenaam verrast door een zeer uitgebreid ontbijt in een gezellige eetruimte. 's Avonds zijn we te voet op 300m naar het overbekende porto-domein Quinta da Pacheca gestapt . Heerlijk gegeten en natuurlijk 6 flessen fantastische Pink Port Pacheca besteld die we weldra in België mogen ontvangen. Het verblijf beschikt over een afgesloten kleine parking en is een ideale uitvalbasis om de Douro-vallei te verkennen. Pinhao ligt vlakbij om een rustgevende boottocht te maken. Het wordt gerund door een koppel en hun dochters. Een aanrader gelet op de verhouding prijs/kwaliteit.

During our Douro Valley visit, we had an exceptional experience at Casa Relógio de Sol. The serene location offers stunning vineyard views, making it ideal for couples. The atmosphere is warm and homely, with beautiful decorations throughout. Carla and José made us feel incredibly welcome. The breakfast was outstanding, offering various delicious options, even catering to my lactose intolerance. Carla's red wine “Relógio de Sol Reserva 2015” was superb; it's a pity we didn't buy more bottles, but we will return. We highly recommend staying here! Irena

just returned from here. Such a beautiful setting and everything about it was wonderful. the upstairs suite was beautifully furnished with arty touches and breakfast was excellent. As it was hot we made use of the pool which was a lovely temperature. the town is just a short drive away for local restaurants.

Se potessi dare 6 stelle lo avrei fatto volentieri. Si sicuro la miglior location che ho trovato in portagallo da nord a sud. Camera bella e spaziosa e pulita. Esterni con piscina e tutto il necessario. La colazione e fuori classifica in quanto e il massimo che si possa desiderare. Dolce salato e frutta strepitosa. Bravi gestori ce ne fossero come voi in giro per il mondo. Complimenti.

Thank you for a lovely stay in this charming place. The beautiful bedroom upstairs had a private patio with lovely views. We particularly loved the breakfast room and delicious breakfast. A good location for exploring the Duoro valley.

É certamente uma casa portuguesa, não desilude em todos os pormenores de bom gosto no diversos apontamentos nomeadamente na decoração dos quartos, com todas as comodidades e principalmente na simpatia como fomos atendidos pela família. As diversas áreas são harmoniosamente decoradas com diversas arvores de frutos que dão ao lugar um romantismo e serenidade, muito agradável. O Pequeno almoço é bastante completo não ficando a dever favores a hotéis de superior categoria. Em algumas unidades hoteleiras de carisma rural já é habito a flexibilização dos horários do pequeno-almoço aos fins de semana. Obrigado e ate breve.

We spent a week at Casa Relogio de Sol with absolutely no regrets. The room was comfortable and clean with very good AC (it was in the 40s outside at times!). The pool was just outside our room, along with shady or sunny places to sit out, depending on the time of day. There's plenty of choice for breakfast, with fresh fruit and juice every day, plus all the usual hot and cold choices - something for everyone. The host Clara, couldn't be any more welcoming and helpful: a truly kind person. We attended a wedding at the neighbouring Quinta da Pacheca winery, which is a few minutes' walk away. A car is useful, and it is a short drive across the River Douro to Pesa da Regua, where there are some good restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Restaurante O Maleiro - great Portuguese food at a reasonable price - very large helpings! If you get the chance, visit Lamego and Pinhau, and take a return trip on the Linha do Douro railway from Regua to Pocinho - fabulous scenery all the way, there and back.
