Rural comfort in Normandy
Rural location - perfect for visiting the beautiful gardens of Normandy. Not a hotel but more a farm being renovated as a super "B&B" (5 bedrooms). Francoise and Christophe are delightful hosts. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were welcome to use the extensive gardens and swimming pool, and visit the horses down by the river and pond. Breakfast at the communal table was delicious with home made yoghurt, jams, little cakes and fresh croissants and bread. Francoise speaks English and has an extensive supply of local guides and activities.

Disappointing Stay
We were a little disappointed with the room, as although it was charmingly decorated, there was little space to store clothing and therefore it wasn’t convenient for the 9 nights that we’d booked it for. Hence, we moved out and found somewhere else to stay after 4 nights. One of the beams near the bed was in fact quite dangerous if you got out of bed during the night. My wife banged her shoulder on this and you could easily bang your head if half asleep. It’s the sort of place where you’d only stay one or two nights. Restaurants are quite a drive away and there were no local walking routes. It was also situated on quite a main road and the photos of the outside of the property are not commensurate with how it looks now, which is somewhat misleading when you book. The steps up to the upper rooms need attention as they are uneven and unsafe. The hostesse did her best to make us feel welcome and is a kind person, however. There was no TV in the room and no tea and coffee making facilities.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Christophe et Françoise qui sont 2 hôtes accueillant souriant et attentif aux besoins des personnes qu’ils reçoivent , merci à eux. N’hésitez pas à faire halte au domaine de la Hurel si vous aimé le calme de la campagne, tout y est pour passer un moment de détente et ressourçant.

Merci infiniment à Françoise et Christophe pour leur accueil chaleureux et leur bienveillance . Les chambres sont cosy , le petit déjeuner copieux avec des produits fait maison . Françoise parcourt tous les matins quelques kilomètres pour chercher le pain frais et les croissants !! La bâtisse est juste magnifique , rénovée avec charme , du grand cachet ! Ses divers espaces , piscine , jardin , petite terrasse , grande cour font de cet endroit un hâve de sérénité . Au fond de la propriété nous découvrons un espace grandiose de verdure avec sont petit étang pour se reposer et écouter le silence de la nature . Pour tous ceux qui sont en recherche de calme , de tranquillité , c'est le domaine parfait .

Séjour très agréable grâce aux hôtes qui ont été d’une très grande gentillesse, notre chambre était confortable et la piscine géniale, le coin est très calme, proche de tout à 20 minute même moins en voiture, une superbe expérience à renouveler sûrement l’année prochaine.

Le domaine possède un deux superbe bâtiments en pierre blanche, un jardin avec deux beaux etangs ou l on peut profiter du calme et du soleil , une belle piscine à très bonne température. Françoise et Christophe sont deux personnes adorables . Le petit déjeuner avec des petits gâteaux , yaourts et confitures maison sont au top . Petit plus une cuisine pour que l on puisse se faire à manger, et pique nique dans le jardin possible aussi .❤️

Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires !!! Une très jolie chambre, très propre avec une très belle salle de bains et au calme!! Propriétaires très gentils et à l’ecoute des hôtes qui nous ont préparé de délicieux petits déjeuners ( pain frais, croissants, très bonnes confitures, gâteaux faits maison, jus de fruits frais, yaourts maison…) Nous vous recommandons d’y faire une halte sans hésiter si vous recherchez une chambre d’hôtes dans cette région.
