Heritage Bed and Breakfast

After two different Premier Inns in three days I wanted something comfortable to break my journey home from Derby . Arriving on a wet and miserable night I was greeted cheerfully and welcomed into this lovely home . My single room is small but perfectly adequate and cosy for the single traveler . My breakfast was not only delicious but accompanied by a nice chat with the owner who you feel you have know for a long time . Exceeded expectations Many Thanks Brian

Such a pleasure to stay here - the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely return and I can recommend the Heritage B&B if you're thinking of a stay in Calne!

My husband & I stayed for one night. It was easy to get to & had parking on the road outside. The room/en-suite was comfortable & clean. It is very near the centre of town with a few restaurants in walking distance. We had to choose our breakfast the night before. My choice was a marinated halloumi burger with tomato & mushroom which was delicious. There were a lot of options & freshly baked bread on offer.

What a little treasure! We had a lovely stay here. Ellie and Rexi were warm and inviting, everything you could possibly want for had been catered for already. We stayed to attend a nearby wedding and Ellie & Rexi provided transport late into the night, with the offer of a hot drink when we came back. Nothing was too much trouble. Their beautiful home is filled with unusual art pieces making it very interesting. Ellie is a marvellous cook, offering a very detailed wonderful breakfast, made to order at a time to suit you. She makes her own sour bread which is to die for. All in all an 11 out 10! Thank you Ellie & Rexi. We’ll be back!

Wow what a wonderful BnB. Run by two lovely welcoming ladies. Beautiful house, exceptionally clean. Our room was the Gothic room. Bed was very comfy we slept well. It has its own bathroom and faces out towards the road with their well kept garden to view out of the window. The bathroom is so clean you would think it’s brand new and it is well equipped with toiletries. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and Ellie makes homemade sour dough bread best I’ve ever tasted. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better we met Mr Buttons their cute cocker poo.

I'd give it an 11 if i could. Boooked this for my elderly aunt and spent time there with her. The building is beautiful, the rooms SO nicely done and so comfortable - best beds and the bathrooms have everything you'd need. Why did I bring my washbag, my aunt wanted to know! Ellie and Rexi are excellent hosts and so interesting to chat to. Breakfast was incredible - my aunt who never eats a cooked breakfast enjoyed one both mornings and raved about the homemade bread, yogurt and delcious eggs. Definately be back!

I had two days for business in Calne so needed an overnight stay. I was impressed by the rating of 9.6 and 5 stars, the photos and the website so booked thinking “it’s only for one night “. Ellie and I spoke on the phone confirming my time of arrival and then I arrived. Even on an extremely dark and wet night the property looked lovely. I was shown my room and filled out a breakfast request with many choices. After popping out for something to eat I duly returned and went to finish my present book in bed. The bed was comfortable, beautifully made and spotless. I then slept soundly and woke much later than normal. I showered under a great modern unit and looked forward to breakfast. First the coffee, beautiful, as it should be to start the day. Then the grilled was put in front of me. Beautifully presented and so, so tasty. I rarely have a full breakfast these days but this one could have persuaded me otherwise. Ellie chatted to me whilst her young dog settled at my feet. She worked hard to get this dream up and running and as a guest I can say she has achieved her ambition. A pity that rating of 9.7 isn’t there because I think this b&b really is a 10. Lovely b&b, lovely lady, I will be back.

This is a lovely bed and breakfast close to the high street of Calne. During our stay the Calne festival was on, which was nice to see all of the people enjoying this yearly festival. This bed and breakfast is fantastic if visiting Calne, cannot fault the room or the hosts who went of their way to be accomdating. We spent a few hours talking to our hosts about their own bee hives and the honey which is produced which is served at breakfast which was great. Nothing was too much trouble and even tried the honey mead that they produced that evening. They opened up the guest lounge for us to have some drinks and even when we had a bad meal at the local restaurant , bring back a takeaway to the lounge and provided us with plates and cutlery , even though they were relaxing in there own living room. Nothing was too much bother for our B&B hosts and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic,will definitely will be back when next in Calne !

Brilliant B&B Ellie and Rexy great hosts ,very welcoming. Room very comfortable with a tasty breakfast with home made sourdough bread, honey from Ellie’s own hives. Great place for exploring Wiltshire and Bath area. Good if going to local weddings too! Will return again
