The Francis House

This secluded, but centrally located property offered an amazing breakfast, beautiful accommodations and an overall wonderful experience. The pool was relaxing. The staff cheerfully greeted us every morning with local coffee and fresh, gourmet meals. The beds were exquisite and we slept very well after busy days running around the valley for tastings. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay here again in the future!

One of the most unique and charming gems of the wine country. Exquisite decor, private setting, delicious artisan breakfasts, and an attentive staff that goes above and beyond to make one's stay in Calistoga truly exceptional. Robert booked reservations for us at outstanding restaurants in Napa and St. Helena, and Ehler Winery for a VIP tasting. At each place, we were warmly greeted and experienced first-class service. We treasured our time here, whether it was sleeping in the comfortable beds or lounging by the pristine poolside, and we look forward to our return soon.

The antidote to stress/anxiety? The Francis House!! Beautiful room, beautiful grounds. Lovely delicious breakfast. They had a recommended list of restaurants. We went to the two favorites of Robert’s, our host. Both excellent. Calistoga a sweet buzzy village. It was a special weekend. The Francis House is the quintessential spot for making memories.

This place is magical. Decided to hide away in Calistoga for a night. First time staying at this facility. Spur of the moment booking and Robert easily made it happen. Glad I did...it's an amazing place. Well appointed, fabulous staff, perfect breakfast. I'll be back!

We took a weekend away and absolutely loved this place. It was early March and thus a bit cool/wet but we had a wonderful time. Richard and Dina are exceptional hosts and very welcoming. The rooms are updated and chic. You can tell that no expense was spared, and Richard and Dina meticulously care for the property. We were debating between the Four Seasons and here, and definitely made the right choice. Dina made wonderful dinner recommendations/reservations as well as a private tasting in the caves at Chateau Boswell. I can't wait to return...hopefully in warmer weather to use the beautiful pool and tennis court.
