A very noisy dining room, even too noisy: soundproofing needs to be reviewed You have to run the shower water for 15 minutes before you get hot water: nonsense on such a dry island. The following days I took a cold shower Smiling and friendly staff. Several swimming pools that allow everyone to find their ideal place: quiet or active

Not the best of starts when reception gave us the keys to someone else's apartment! Didn't exactly fill us with confidence. Apartment was dated but functional, with a nice patio area, aircon was a bonus. Waited 3 days before first cleaning service and had to request it. Main pool is nice enough, with waterslides, the snack bar is poor and not self service, not enough staff serving and mostly arguing between themselves, leading to long queues. Bins and empty cup bins are not emptied frequently throughout the day and rubbish invaribly builds up. 2 restaurants, the main one near reception is best, food was decent with wide variety. If you have mobility issues, DONT consider this place, lots of steps and hills even between apartment blocks. You are a brisk 10 mins walk to a quite stunning beach with water sports and crystal clear waters, with stunning promanade with bars and restaurants dotted around, don't miss it, we swam every day there. In summary this is a budget hotel, run at a minimum budget with minimal staff, you will get what you pay for. Should give a shout out to the (one man) entertainment team, he is doing a fine job, and deserves more support from his employers, he alone made our holiday.

First impressions tired unloved. We arrived late evening could not even get a drink of water although sandwiches were on offer had to find a bar that would sell you water at 2 euros for small bottles. Food in the restaurant is good. The sun bed situation is a joke we are in area b and sun beds here have towels on them 24 hours a day so no chance of getting a bed. Only 2 days in if things don’t improve can’t see us returning or recommending this place no evidence of cleaning in the pool area also. Could be really great with a bit more effort

The bedding was left unchanged for our full stay the rooms weren’t clean to a good standard they were just given fresh towels the food was average some stuff wasn’t cooked properly and not a good selection. Many bugs and bitten multiple times in our sleep. Constantly having to be up at silly hours in the morning to just get one sunbed. Our door was tried multiple times during the night.

I recently stayed at Hotel Caleta Dorada and, unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. The hotel itself is very run down – our room had floor tiles coming loose, the air conditioning unit was leaking, and the water pressure was extremely poor. Maintenance seems to be sorely lacking. One of the few positives was the food, which was surprisingly good for an all-inclusive setup. However, the overall service was nothing short of appalling and completely overshadowed any enjoyment we might have had. The male bar staff, particularly at the main pool bar, were consistently rude and dismissive. One interaction in particular was absolutely unacceptable. After ordering a tequila and lemonade, followed by a vodka and tonic, I decided to also get a second tequila and lemonade. The staff member, Jawad, became aggressive and shouted at me, insisting I should have ordered both tequilas at once. It was an unnecessarily hostile and intimidating encounter. I immediately went to reception to complain, but was told no manager was available until the following day. A receptionist did accompany me to Jawad, who openly admitted to his behavior. Even she agreed his attitude was unacceptable and said she would speak to his manager. My room number was taken and I was assured someone would follow up. No one did. By the following afternoon, I still hadn't heard anything. I returned to reception only to be told, once again, that no manager was available. My room number was taken a second time. Still no response. It's clear that the bar staff are poorly managed – if they’re managed at all – and it shows. Their behavior was rude, confrontational, and frankly unprofessional. At times, it felt personal, and I can't help but question whether there was a discriminatory undertone to Jawad's outburst. It was extremely uncomfortable and upsetting. To make matters worse, the very next day, I witnessed another male bar staff member in a physical altercation with a guest. This level of aggression and disregard for guests is shocking and unacceptable in any hospitality setting. The hotel urgently needs new management and a complete overhaul of the bar staff, who clearly lack basic training in customer service. Despite the decent food, the terrible attitude and complete lack of accountability make this place one I would never return to or recommend. The service doesn’t even warrant one star.

We have just come back from a 7 day break, myself, my little girl of 6 and my dad. We enjoyed our stay, was nervous from the reviews we have read before we arrived, but honestly there was no massive negatives from us. The pools were brilliant ( although cold, this was refreshing in the heat)the splash park was a hit with my daughter, and the little hidden pool for the kids was always quiet for her to have a little play! The only negative with the pools would be how slippery the floors are around the sides, we bought some swim shoes with grip which worked a treat. The rooms where spacious, our bungalow in block C was modern, the air con a little loud and crackly but nothing we couldn't put up with for a day or two. The animation team where lovely and included everyone around the pool, the only negative would be the kids club! This was basically non existent on our stay (we arrived one day and was ignored by the member of staff and just handed some pencils for my daughter to do some drawing! There was no way I would have been happy to have left her in there on her own ( especially when there were no other kids in there) this wasn't a massive deal to us as we went on holiday to spend time with her and not ship her off to kids club all morning ( but this would be a bonus for families who need a break)! Please work on your kids club, as this would really benefit some families with a range of older and smaller kids! Drinks where nice, and food was typical all inclusive, tasty and wide variety. The downstairs restaurant needs a bit of work, to brighten it up and be more appealing, but main restaurant was lovely :) Overalll great stay for us, just a few tweaks to make it more of a 4star rather than a 3

We returned today after a 10 day stay at the resort. In total there were 17 of us staying here (with kids-teens aged 1-19), spread out around the C block. We were obviously quite apprehensive after reading posts on this page, so here's our take on our stay. Security - we brought our own door alarm, ensured curtains were closed, windows and doors locked and had no issues. We often saw security staff around the parameter. Room and facilities - very modern, clean and spacious room. Plenty of space with a 1 year old and none tiled floors put us at ease with an adventurous toddler. The rooms were cleaned every other day with fresh towels and linen. We paid $10 refundable deposit for a safe which fit in tablets and all valuables. You can also hire towels for a small deposit too. Comfortable beds and sofa. Only downfall was lack of WiFi, however we did not feel that this was needed. The outside chairs were not the comfiest, but resolved with a sofa cushion. Only improvement would be sunbeds for the terrace, a few more coat hangers and an iron/hairdryer in the rooms. Hotel facilities and pools - so many pools with the splash park which was an added bonus as our little boy loved it. We always managed to get sunbeds, however in the last few days we opted for the quieter A pool which was better for our little one and the wind didn't seem as bad there. The only downfall at pool C was the wind, umbrellas flying everywhere and the floor was extremely slippy, we unfortunately witnessed a young lady slip and smash her head. There are ramps throughout the complex which was great as we had a pram. Food and drink - as expected by day 10 the food became quite repetitive however there was always so much choice at all meals. The restaurant is well maintained, clean and we never struggled to be seated. The pizza was amazing! And an added bonus was the kebab restaurant under the bar in C block which broke things up a little. We are out a couple of nights, as we found it to be so cheap here. The drinks are plentiful and typical all inclusive - not overly strong but we enjoyed them. Snacks available throughout the day were great too. The only downfall was the evening entertainment which wasn't the best. And I took my son to the kids club to get out of the heat and was just handed some pencils and paper by a man who did not speak to us and sat at the desk on his phone (we visited a couple of times and this was the case on all occasions). During the day the animation team get people involved with aquaerobics and games which looked pretty good. Staff at the hotel, were lovely and so helpful. Reception staff organised our taxis to return to the airport which was great and were efficient in dealing with any issues we had (our electricity tripped one day). Location - 10 minutes walk to the centre of Caleta and the beach slight hill on the way back but manageable with a pram. There's a market on Tuesday and Saturdays which is approx 5 minute walk away. Lots of bars, r

We’ve been here for a week now and can honestly say we’ve had an amazing time. We can with our 3 year old son and we’re so sceptical before coming as all I read was awful reviews about breakins, dirty rooms and poor food. NONE of this was the case. We were in block C and it was a short walk up to the pool and bar/ entertainment area which we used frequently day and evening. We made use of the safe and locked all doors when not inside our room as you normally would, cleaners came in and changed our bedding 2 times and towels were changed every second day. All the cleaners were so lovely and polite and everytime o had left something out , when we came back we would find it on our bed either folded up or visible for us to find it. Can’t fault the rooms or the staff at all. Food, only a short 6 mins walk down to the food restaurant or there was another dinner restaurant at the pool area at block c. All with different assortments of food and typically all you would expect from a 3 star hotel. There was always something to eat and desserts were also enjoyable. Unlimited drinks etc was great also. One point I’d like to also make to the resort is the staff all around but especially in the dining areas were so attentive, the cleanliness was fantastic and they were always busy making sure tables were clean and not cluttered and that everyone was okay. Everyone was so lovely and warming to our little one and put a smile on his face everyday, it’s those little things that you really appreciate as a parent so thank you all so much. You all do a fantastic job and it shouldn’t go unnoticed. Also on the first day we arrived our door handle was loose and we went down to reception to let them know and we had a maintenance man come a few hours later to fix it. Again, so attentive! We’ve had a great stay with no issues and I think we would definitely come again. It’s 100% value for what you pay for. Thank you all at Caleta Dorada.
