We have just arrived home from a 9night stay at Globales Cala Bona Hotel with and although fantastic, doesn't quite hit the 5star recommendation, however it was very, very close. Overall the hotel is fantastic. We were allocated two rooms 120 & 121 and both were spacious, spotlessly clean and adequate for our needs. Although this is a smaller hotel than we have been used to previously on our Summer Holidays, it was fantastic. Dining and Bar areas - hotel staff were second to none. Went above and beyond to ensure all guests needs were met. Food was plentiful, freshly cooked each day and sitting and very flavoursome. Pool area - hotel has it sussed for sunbed reservations. They don't open the pool access until all cleaning and maintenance is complete and doors open at 9am. Therefore not allowing the usual 'sunbed wars'. Folk still do queue so you do still need to be up sharpish - but who wants to lie in bed on holiday anyway! Area lovely and clean, pool spotless. The token idea, again is fantastic. Prevents previously used cups sitting around pool areas and keeps the areas clean. No use of glass permitted so also keeps it safe for kids - however we did have one plonker who took glass from dining room at breakfast and smashed it on pool tiles!! Staff though quickly adhered to this and had it cleaned up. Therefore no issues. One thing that we felt let the pool experience down was the lack of music around the pool. I appreciate this isn't for everyone, however a little background music would add to the lovely atmosphere. There was also little / no animation teams - which was fine as they can sometimes be a little over powering! Overall, fantastic holiday in a lovely hotel in a lovely area of Majorca. We we go back - yes. Will we, probably not - our opinion is that the world is a big place with plenty of experiences to be had so tend not to stay at the same hotel more than once. However, would I recommend to friends and family - ABSOLUTELY!

We stayed at this hotel from 1 July to 8 July. My husband has had a stroke and uses a wheelchair. First impressions of the hotel were good, Manuel on reception was friendly and welcoming and the reception and bar area was clean and bright. The accessible toilet near the reception was lovely and clean and there are handrails down both sides of the toilet. We went to the adapted room that we had requested and were shocked to discover that there were no handrails at all in the walk in shower and no hand rail on the right hand side of the toilet only on the left which was no good to us as my husband can only use his right arm. This was really dangerous, as we expect hand rails in an accessible bathroom. I went to reception and spoke to Cati. She said that I was the first person to have ever complained about there being no hand rails in the shower and she would speak to her director and they may look at having hand rails fitted in the disabled rooms when they are closed for the winter. I recommend they don't wait until winter and have them fitted as a priority. I'm surprised that no one has fallen before now and hurt themselves! There is also no seat in the shower, although a plastic balcony chair was put in the shower, which I explained was also dangerous as the chair could slip. The room wasn't particularly clean either. There was thick dust on top of the pull out mirror in the bathroom and where my husband had been out in his wheelchair and made dark marks on the bathroom floor where it was wet, when the cleaners came to refresh the room, they didn't bother to wipe the floor. We also had ants in the room. I took the cleaner to the room and showed her and to give her her dues, she did clean everything I asked her to and got rid of the ants. On Sunday morning we were woken up at 9am by the gardener mowing the grass on the other side of our balcony. This went on for about an hour. Maybe this could have been done later in the day after the pool is closed as not everyone wakes up early and we were on holiday! Bed was comfy, Food was passable. Luckily we like salad and soup as most of the rest of the food looked quite unappetising so we ate out a lot. The staff in the restaurant were hard working and very pleasant and the pool and pool area was pleasant with the indoor pool refreshing to cool down in.

The only one thing that lets this hotel down is no music by the pool which means no atmosphere when asked why there was no music it was because there were complaints of the choices of music so decided to just not play any at all,The staff make this holiday, they are so happy, polite and chatty nothing is a problem they go out of their way to greet you and attend to anything you need. The hotel is cleaned minute by minute one of the cleanest hotels iv been to spotless! The rooms are a brilliant size we had a suite! We were breakfast only but visited the snack bar which is cooked fresh on order and was beautiful, one night we ate dinner in the hotel there was a small selection but covered a lot of options. The sunbed policy is game changing and I think every hotel should imply this opens at 9am there was always a sunbed free never did I see anyone struggle in the whole time I was there. Would I return no just purely the no music killed it for me through the day it’s just missing a small vibe this small change and I would defo return without a thought.

5* review is not really enough for this hotel, I was going to single out certain members of staff but that would not have been fair as they were ALL exceptional. The rooms were very well appointed and spotless with maid service everyday. The pool ares was well kept and their no towels on sun beds until 09.00 ensured there were plenty of beds to go around. We went for 5 nights all-inclusive and every meal was excellent with so much choice. If you are looking for an exceptional holiday very nicely situated I think we have found you the ideal place. Thank you to everyone at Globales Cala Bona Suites x

Cleanest hotel in Europe I've ever stayed in. Cleaning staff deserve a pay rise. Fab position, five minutes from the beach. Good food. Very quiet although only five minutes walk if you want to be in the heart of Cala Bona with lovely harbour. Only negative for me was lack of entertainment. Fabulous week with exceptional weather. Would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from a great 4 night stay at the Globales Cala Bona. It was myself, partner and 6 month old baby. Location The location is great. Walking distance to the nearby centre where there are lots of bars, shops, restaurants etc. All relatively flat which is great for a pram. Food We felt the food was great quality and plentisome. Some reviews are critiquing the lack of choice etc but we found there to be lots of choice (as long as you're not an overly picky eater). Presented lovely. We had breakfast, lunch & dinner. Room The room was beautiful and immaculate. The whole hotel is immaculately clean. The room was spacious. We asked for a lower level room as we had the pram and this was honoured. I emailed the hotel beforehand about providing some bottled water as we were arriving at 12am and I'd need to feed the baby and they very kindly provided some for our arrival. Pool The pool does get busy but we had no trouble getting beds (in fact we had the same beds for our whole stay). The beds open at 9, and even though lots to queue, you don't have to. The beds didn't really get full until gone 10/11. I did queue for beds about 8.50am but this is only because I wanted to get beds near the baby pool and on the end (space for the pram). The baby pool was lovely. The pool area did lack atmosphere though. Vibe I would say the hotel is suited more towards older guests, or families. There isn't very much there in the form of entertainment (3 times a week) but it didn't bother us too much. If it was just me and my partner or if I were with friends I'd have wanted a little more liveliness. Staff We found on the whole the staff to be friendly and attentive. The reception staff were exceptional (Kasey who checked us in was great). Some of the bar staff weren't really very friendly and sometimes felt as if it was a chore to serve you. The dining staff were great, cleared plates immediately and were friendly. Service As we arrived at 12am we were very happy to be served a cold plate of snacks which was much appreciated after a flight. This was also the case when we were leaving the hotel at 6.40am for breakfast. All in all we had a great stay and we would return with our baby, but maybe not as a couple.
