B&B La Casa di Astrea

Our stay here was one of the more unique places we stayed at during our Italian vacation. We were fortunate that our family of four was able to have the place to ourselves, occupying all three bedrooms and the common central area. It takes a few ascending steps to reach the apartment that comprises this B&B, but it’s not very strenuous. Upon entering the spacious common area we sensed the uniqueness and special vibe this place has. Kind of a mix of a manor house and a museum! All very positive and different for us. Each bedroom is also spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom suite has its own modern and spacious bathroom, and a lovely terrace with stunning views of the town and the vistas beyond (you can even see The Mediterranean Sea on the horizon). Great evening and morning place to relax. Bed comfort, AC climate control, shower water temperature/pressure were all satisfactory. I would remiss if I didn’t mention the friendliness and helpfulness of our hostess, Ornella. Even before arriving we were communicating via WhatsApp; she met us a predetermined spot so she could direct us to the secure gated lot (at a nearby church parking lot) to park our car. She then walked with us the approximate 50 meters to the apartment and showed us around the apartment and how the keys operate. We didn’t see her until the next morning when she brought in a delightful Continental breakfast. Coffee and tea were available in the common area all day; refrigerator also available. Definitely one of the more interesting places we stayed during our Italian vacation. Caiazzo is a pleasant small town with some very good restaurants and places to wander and explore.
