In a city with a history of 3,000 years, you can see ancient buildings everywhere. You can spend a few days here, but this hotel is still very close to the center of the old city.

After a very easy process checking in and parking the car in the underground car park we were glad to go to our room. The room was large and bright with a lovely view overlooking the pool and then out to sea. The room had a large balcony with comfortable furniture. There were no coffee making facilities which was a disappointment as other paradores do have this. The bed itself was comfortable and placed so that it takes in the lovely views. Unfortunately there are no headboards as such just a rather uncomfortable shelf. The bath was huge but a waste of space given the amount of water it would take to fill it would be wasteful. The usual amenities but a shelf to pop your personal items on would help. Take your own hair dryer as the one provided was pretty useless. Room though was very clean. Staff pleasant. Breakfast pretty good but pastries should be covered up as birds were hopping all over them hence why I didn’t try these. Bird droppings not being my favourite I opted for the hot options that were cooked pretty much on demand. Overall a nice stay and the location is great. Not the best of Paradores as a little clinical but ideal for a 2 or 3 night stay.

Das Gebäude in Cadiz ist alles andere als schön, trotzdem sind Zimmer, Frühstück usw. im gewohnten Parador-Standard. Die Kundenfreundlichkeit und der Wille zu einem Kompromiss sind leider - zumindest in UNSEREM Fall - nicht vorhanden.

We had to wait a while upon arrival for check in as the hotel couldn't find our booking. Breakfast was ok but dishes were not clean and the eggs were not cooked when requested for the cook to order chef. Work was being done for the duration of our stay on the room next door so it was quite noisy. The pool was too cold to use and indoor spa had to booked with an hourly rate applied. The hotel is nice and in a nice location, but is not worth the price per room. Would not choose to stay here again
