It is about 1.x kilometers away from Cabel Beach, and you can walk there. It is best to have a car. The whole hotel is an apartment, and the environment is OK. The room is in good condition, and the bathroom is open-air. The kitchenware is complete, and cooking is stress-free. The front desk gets off work early. If you arrive late, remember to contact the front desk in advance. The key will be put in the password box. We didn't contact in advance and couldn't check in for a while, until a patrol staff came and opened the password box and gave us the key. The patrol is in charge of this hotel and the hotel opposite, so it is difficult to meet

Mantra Frangipani is a beautiful resort with a lovely garden setting. The one bedroom apt we stayed in was spacious and had a great view of one of the pools. There was a couch and dining table. It had an outdoor shower that was the best I’ve ever had. There was a dishwasher, washing machine (which I think was a dryer as well) and microwave. There was an almost new Webber on the lovely portico. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

The villa I stayed in (villa 1), was spacious and well appointed, especially for a 1 bedroom space. There is a sheltered outdoor space, with bbq, table and shares, and a day-bed. The entry is a wide sliding door, into open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining. The kitchen had a set of crockery and cutlery, microwave, electric hotplates, kettle, toaster, french press, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. The dining chairs were a bit rickety, but having a large table was handy. The bedroom has a small table, large bed, wardrobe, plenty of power points and includes the laundry space - a large sink, washing machine dryer combo, and clothes horse. The bathroom was large (and I think designed to be wheelchair accessible, with lots of space to manoeuvre and grab rails). The bathroom has toilet and sink. There is a small courtyard out the back, which includes the outdoor shower. There were plenty of hooks and rails for towels, and an accessible bench to sit to shower. The back courtyard is completely enclosed with a high wall, but I do wonder if 2-storey neighbouring property could see reflections on the windows. The floor surfaces throughout were well worn and marked, but all in-tact. The room was clean and fresh - and it was clearly communicated about the servicing only occurring mid-way in my 8-night stay. The fixtures (eg towel rail in bathroom) needed tightening, and toilet was old, but all functioning and usable. Despite many warnings about security on check-in and throughout the room, the cleaning staff left my back door (to the shower) unlocked after cleaning, and the front screen door. In terms of security, the front screen and sliding door were also quite loose and felt like it wouldn't take much to get through. There was also no way to secure inside, such as with a chain or hook. The reception area sells some snacks and drinks, and there are 2 pools (1 heated, 1 not), with plenty of seating around them, both shaded and sunny. The pools are closed after sunset, presumably for safety (no lifeguards, and fewer staff around later). The gardens are lovely, with sprinklers running to keep them lush and gardeners often around (including using a leaf blower, rather than a broom). The sound of large 4WD vehicles permeates across the area - and in villa 1, could hear it frequently from inside (quite close to the road). The Broome Explorer bus stops out the front, there is an e-scooter parking spot just across the road, and easy car-parking if you have a car.

The place is old and very tired, has no facilities apart from a pool (although a kettle is also listed and there is a DVD wft??? Who travels with DVD’s to watch???), it is staffed by backpackers and is well over a kilometre from anywhere to eat. When the sun sets at 5:25pm, walking to and from dinner in the dark is a challenging reality - particularly after they advise you to ensure your doors are always locked!!! The rooms are not serviced or cleaned daily. For $650 a night, I expected more - a lot more. At least a minibar for crying out loud. Frankly, I feel robbed. See pic of old chipped furniture, stained couch and toilet, uneven pathways and crap cooking utensils. For us, this was foolish loyalty to a brand (Accor).

There are probably two good things about this accommodation. Firstly the apartments are quite large and spacious so you can spread yourself out. Secondly in comparison to the cost of other accommodation in the Cable Beach area I guess if you get in early it can be affordable, however if you book late it can be expensive anywhere up to $450 a night. We were able to secure our accommodation for $278 a night because we booked in advance. The resort itself is very basic it doesn't have any facilities other than a pool which is only open until sunset. It is not heated so is cold during the day especially in the dry season. We disliked the outdoor shower and considering the apartments are really spacious they could have actually had an indoor and outdoor shower and not compromise on space. The outdoor shower is cold in terms of water temperature and in dry season it is also cold at night and early mornings. Plus there were mosquitoes everywhere. So generally a very unpleasant experience to have a shower every day outside what ever time of day it was. The kitchenette was generally well equipped except for a few utensils being broken and when trying to get them replaced they couldn't supply us with it. The rooms are also quite tired and need a full refurbishment. A bit dark and dingy. Especially if they're going to be charging over $400 dollars a night on average. The location is 20 minutes to walk anywhere for food in Cable Beach area or the beach itself. There is a bus stop outside but there is only one bus every hour which does full Circuit loop. To get to town it takes 20 minutes on the bus. But if you are wanting to come home it can take anywhere up to half an hour or 45 minutes. $5 per ride so not worth catching unless you go to town. Taxis in Broome are expensive around $30 to $35 a trip from town to Cable Beach. Staff were nice at the hotel. We stayed for 9 days, room was serviced once in this time.

Not really a resort, more like tradie and itinerant worker accomodation. No bar or restaurant, just vending machines in reception. Decent size pool. Access to our hut was often blocked by utes and trailers parked on the pavement. Neighbours on both sides smoked so if the place claims to be non-smoking don't believe a word. It's a long way to the town centre so if you don't have a car you are reliant on an hourly bus service. The rooms were clean and modern. It's neighbour is the more illustrious (and expensive) Cable Beach Club if your budget can stretch to it. If not find somewhere better and more convenient in the town because this place isn't worth it

This hotel is in a nice secluded area at the back of cable beach but only a couple of minutes drive away from the beach and restaurant/pubs etc. The apartment is big and I had plenty of space for just myself. The couch and bed though weren’t the most comfy things in the world. I love the outdoor shower. The outside area is nice with a lounge, table and chairs and a bbq although the bbq wasn’t that clean. Pool was nice and there seemed to be enough car paces for everyone. Only downside is that it’s not secure parking which is a big drawback considering the amount of crime in Broome, especially car theft. The amount of mosquitoes was crazy!!! My legs and feet were covered in bites, even at night inside the apartment.

Our second stay here, 16 years apart. Great value accommodation in a lovely tropical setting. Both pools were inviting.
