Pros: beach front, easy access to the beach, tranquility around the lounge beach chairs. Friendly staff
Cons: hotel is dated, shower was too small. There were cucarachas coming off the AC vents. Staff came to address it right away, however. There are not elevators and it is difficult to bring luggage to 2nd and 3rd floors. The place was not design for people with mobility issues. Also people are allowed with dogs unleashed. One small dog came after me. When I approach the dog’s owner to ask if he could put his dog on a leash, he became belligerent, disrespectful, and a kind of racist. The hotel staff watched and did nothing. When I ask for the manager to complaint I was told she was on vacation (?) when I ask for whoever was in charge, I was also told that person was also unavailable. It was frustrating and disappointing as that was a safety issue that remained unaddressed.

We had a wonderful, fun, relaxing week at Villa Taina. The hotel, amenities, and beach were great, but what really made the difference was the staff, who were fantastic, always friendly and helpful, even when busy. We look forward to a return visit next year.

War bereits oft an vielen Hotels und Orten an der Nordküste.Leider scheint man als Alleinreisender immer die unattraktivsten Zimmer zu bekommen….Das Zimmer war jedenfalls sauber, hatte einen Safe und von der Größe ganz o.k., Aber vom Preis/Leistung war es m.E. einfach zu wenig. Musste bei der Ankunft, nach 17 Stunden Anreise, mein Gepäck selber zum Zimmer schleppen! Das Personal war freundlich, aber wenig emphatisch, das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr gut. Von Früchten über Eier, Tortilla bis süß war alles vorhanden. Und schön war direkt am Strand mit Meerblick zu frühstücken. Sehr geärgert habe ich mich über Folgendes: Man musste am Abreisetag um 13:00 Uhr das Zimmer verlassen, mein Transfer ging aber erst um 17:30 Uhr. Es gab keine Möglichkeit mehr zu duschen, oder sein Gepäck sicher zu lagern!! Auf Nachfrage wurde mir gesagt, ich könne ja die Dusche am Strand benutzen und umziehen ginge auf der Gästetoilette, ein Nogo!!! Hab ich noch in keinem anderen Hotel erlebt.

Hotel pequeño y acogedor, con personal muy hospitalario. Sobretodo el personal femenino del restaurante y en el front desk, así como las empleadas de limpieza. Cabarete se siente seguro, contrario a Sosúa. La franja de playa es hermosa. Tienen un buffet de desayuno por un costo adicional. Buenos tragos y comida en el restaurante. La experiencia de quedarse justo frente a la playa me encantó.

Really enjoyed my short stay. Staff was super nice and helpful. The hotel is right on the beach which is beautiful. Staff at the bar and restaurants were also amazing. Rooms are comfortable. Thanks for everything guys!
