Hotels in Belongil Beach, Byron Bay

My wife and I agreed this was probably our favorite hostel in all of Oz (Outback and East Coast). Its a bit expensive but worth it. It’s not in the heart of town, but we preferred the location which has a nice cafe/restaurant directly next door and beach is literally across the street. Could see the water from our private room above reception. Staff could not be friendlier and more helpful, shout out to Argentina, happy for their futbol win! There’s a shuttle that takes you to town every hour, but after a few margaritas it’s a pleasant 20 min walk back even at night. Bathroom and shower was nice, kitchen nice, and wifi was strong. Our only mistake was only staying one night during our east coast tour. Byron is worth as many nights as you can afford.

This hotel is old and there is no daily cleaning. It is an ”apar**ent-style” hotel, which means that you live in an apar**ent and you are responsible for cleaning and taking out the garbage during your stay. It is clean and tidy inside, but it is really too old. The tableware, cups and plates are all large and small, and they are all pieced together. Anyway, practicality is important, and other things don't matter. The location is very convenient, very close to the main beach and the downtown area (but these places are usually crowded and relatively cheap). However, there is a restaurant on the main beach. Every afternoon, happy hour costs more than 30 Australian dollars, two glasses of wine + a large plate of fresh shrimps, which are large and delicious. It is a good deal. If you say you will come again tomorrow, the boss may not be happy... Walking out of the hotel, on the busiest street outside the main beach, I drank white wine and ate oysters in several restaurants during happy hour. I found that the price of oysters varies greatly, and some are twice as much. If I don’t explore and compare, I really don’t know. Back to this hotel, the overall target audience should be backpackers. From the perspective of this group, it may be very satisfactory. Therefore, a hotel that matches your spending power and feels cost-effective is a good hotel. We booked the hotel late, and there was no room at a suitable price, and the available rooms were too expensive to accept. This was the only one, so we chose it. It is also a kind of fate.

Good location

The room itself is OK, the service is really not, and the price is relatively high. The front desk got off work at 5 o'clock and said that it would send an email in advance to inform how to check in but did not. After the on-site phone communication, I told how to check in, which was delayed for a long time. Ctrip also helped to communicate, but the efficiency is relatively low, and it has not communicated quickly by itself. Fortunately, Ctrip also gave red envelope compensation.

Very clean, the lobby is very large, and the home improvement and design feels better than expected. Kitchen appliances are complete, as well as washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, grills. There are also 2 kinds of board games. The family is very satisfied with the 5-minute walk from the beach. The second bedroom area is small.

I came from the Gold Coast with a friend and passed by Byron Bay. We chose this hotel. The front desk service was very nice and considerate. The hotel was also very comfortable. Each person had a small villa, which was nice!
