Although the hotel was clean, with friendly staff and good breakfast, we had a very annoying experience whereby we booked the dinner at their restaurant, the Gastronome for 4 people, 1 day prior to our arrival. However, only 5 minutes before we joined our friends for dinner, we were surprised by a phone call from the reception, stating that there is a private reception at that restaurant with a certain Club, and that our booking was cancelled at the Gastronome. This incident is really disrespectful for a client and has never occurred to us throughout our life, neither in Lebanon or wherever we traveled throughout the world.

Very bad location and the transportation is very difficult to hotel from downtown, the shuttle bus is way over priced They told my friend residing at other room other is no charge for shuttle bus to LAU but the fact is way over priced, the rooms extremely dirty and in very poor condition, the walls full of water marks, i had to ask for room swap four times up on arrival, on of the room was very smelly and the other room the toilet is out of order and one of the room offered wasnt cleaned after the previous guest The staff is unhelpful and unfriendly i have asked for a wake up call and then never received one there is other reviews suggesting otherwise but i dont think they are accurate/ true I will highly recommend that you stay away and chose a hotel closer to city center.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel in 2021, We booked the ambassador suite which was very nice & clean! The breakfast buffet could use some work, but other than that everything was great. The staffs were great! Location is good. We received a quote to book in June 2022, which was $200/night when we called to reserve they stated the new price was $400/night so we booked elsewhere.

We came early in the morning and were very welcomed by the nice and professional staff as we walk into the room we were surprised by the quality of the furniture and the tidiness and hygiene of the room and very nice amenities , it had a very nice spa , gym and a very nice pool with an amazing view of course without forgetting the quality of the food and the service , we really like the hotel and will be back soon .

The Maximus Hotel is great. Wonderful staff, super nice rooms. The food is amazing. Laundry service and massages are great. The view is wonderful. Unfortunately you need a car to get to the beach. The only thing missing was a parasol on the balcony :)

First of all let’s start with the room, they’ve told us it’s sea view but it was like a prison with no view at all because they’ve installed a plastic tent to cover the pool in front of the room, and it was more expensive then the standard one. In addition instead of using one single king bed, they’ve combined two single beds “trying” to create a single king one which was uncomfortable. Also we already booked for two nights and was paid on arrival but the second day they called and told that we’ve paid for just one night. It was a bad experience however, the hotel’s restaurant staff were friendly and professional.
