We really loved our stay here. We stayed two nights in room #1, which was cozy, but very clean and comfortable for our family of four. What really made this place special was the owners. They went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful, and I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds darting between the many feeders and blooming delphiniums during the early evening, as well as listening to the many nearby horses whinnying in the early morning while drinking my coffee. We stayed here so hubby and kids could fish. I didn't expect to enjoy it here, since I don't fish, but I loved the quiet solitude, and just the rugged beauty of nature all around us. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back! Note: I thought I had already submitted this review. Our trip was in July of 2020.

Nice place
The location is beautiful! The grounds are well maintained and inviting. The communication and property information as well as the accommodations in general suited our needs. I couldn't believe how quiet it was. The only issue we had was that the floors were a little noisy. We could here the people from the neighboring room walking.

A great place to unplug
We stayed in one of the off-property cabins that was privately owned, so I’m not able to give an accurate review of the lodge itself other than the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The cabin we stayed in was clean and the owner came over to greet us. She’s so nice! The biggest complaint was a bit of an anomaly in that we were there during an abnormal heatwave and the cabin doesn’t have air conditioning or the best air flow. The owner generously let us borrow a fan which helped! I’d love to visit again. It was a beautiful place

Terrific Spot in the Big Hole
From the automated check in, ease of contact, and overall amenities the Haines family (owners) helped make this an amazing fishing trip. We will be back! And the restaurant is excellent with great service and food.
