Desk clerk was very nice

This is my hometown. We stay at this location with each visit. It seems we have different experience often! This visit was not our best. Room was clean and comfortable. Each employee we encountered was super accommodating. The breakfast was less than stellar. A few items were not refilled. Previously supplied items were no longer offered. No HB eggs, no bacon, no waffles or pancakes, no peanut butter. It was not worth asking about. We travel in a group and often look for a place to hang out after our evening out and the breakfast room was no longer available. It wasnt a bad visit but like i said not as enjoyable as it could have been.

Hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good.

We regularly stay at Holiday Inn Express locations, including this one in Butler, and we’ve never had this type of experience. Before writing this review I called the hotel three times during normal business hours asking to speak to the manager. I finally left a message and after four business days, received no response. Our family booked a two night, two room stay over the holiday weekend. One of the rooms (202) was fine. However the second room (314) had numerous problems, all of which appeared to be housekeeping related. I wasn’t aware of the extent of the issues until we’d checked out and I saw the pictures. I was appalled. The bathroom was clean, however these photos indicate the disgusting conditions found in the rest of the room. The photos speak for themselves. The partially eaten granola bar in the ice bucket was particularly horrible.
