General overview; feels quite relaxing and quiet, is away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger settlements, a little too far to walk to Lazise in peak summer heat but possible in colder months. Sometimes felt quite unwelcoming and sometimes outright rude by staff. See tips at end of review. ❌ if the people in the neighbouring rooms decide to do...anything...you will be pretty well informed about it. There are lots of noises and they are very audible. ❌ very little in the way of rule enforcement; children running around the spa area, jumping in the pool, playing on the treadmills when children are supposed to be accompanied in that area and the spa area is supposed to be a quiet area. Spa staff were constantly busy with massages etc, but lifeguards never, ever seen except for opening and closing parasols. ❌ regular bad smells in the bathroom seeming to come from drain in the shower. ✅ some staff really helpful, such as the man who looked like a floor manager who wore a white shirt, who seemed to thrive off guests having a good time. ❌ Other staff seemed really bothered if we asked for anything, and came across as rude. See separate review for restaurant. ✅ good room and bathroom size, and shower was great ✅ bed is okay and very large which is great for tall people like me! ❌ Bed never properly made. No fitted sheet, and came loose really easily, exposing the mattress. ✅❌ Bottles of water in fridge, but not made clear that they're free. ✅ breakfast is pretty standard. ✅ separate pools for families/adults mean there is a quiet area for those wanting it, and the adults area has the best view of the mountains ❌ spa area is hard to book, especially weekends, as there seems to be only 2 staff. ✅ Spa area has good sunbathing beds, away from most noise, a good spot for reading or sunbathing if the outdoor seats are taken, and the pool is warmer than the outside ones but is much quieter. The signs aren't great to help you find your way around. Massages were very good. - tips; get to breakfast early, before half 8, if you want quiet breakfast - nearest bus stop is outside Rock Star, you can use underpass that is within Canevaworld car park to get there - buses very unreliable. If you go on Google Maps and click on the bus stop, it shows you where each bus is - if buying tickets with cash on board, you are given a stub which you then scan in the red machine, QR code up. If paying by card, scan on and scan off - be careful if walking down to the lake; we went down the side of Rock Star, got to the lake, turned right, and the entire route is camp sites until Lazise, you can't get back to the roads, was a very uncomfortable walk in the heat - would recommend the Opera in Verona and also the Valpolicella wine tasting with a transfer (at cost) from Verona very highly

We enjoyed a great week staying at the Saccardi spa hotel. The whole staff are definitely one of the hotel's greatest assets. The hotel is next to a duel carriageway, (but to be honest that did not disturb us at all) and on the other side of this was the airport, literally a 10 minute drive (again we were not disturbed by airport noise). We had booked this hotel through Jet2 City breaks and although Jet2 didn't supply transfers, the hotel did their own pick up and drop off during daytime hours. As stated in other reviews, the hotel is not much to look at from the outside, but inside it is open, airy and the rooms are spotlessly clean, if a little dated in their decor. There was air conditioning in room and a fridge with complementary water. For us Brits, I must admit I did miss the usual complementary kettle, coffee and tea in the room, so if you like a cuppa that you don't have to buy, take your own travel kettle! The only other point I would make is that there was only one available socket in the room, with technology what it is these days, rooms could benefit from at least an extra one, or the availability of multi adapters. As per other reviews, we were able to make use of the shuttle bus service provided free of charge into Verona City or Train Station, however as already mentioned these are available at certain times of the day (9am, 12, 4pm into Verona and 12.20, 16.20, 18.20 and 19.20 back) and can only accommodate 8 passengers at a time, so it is imperative that guests plan ahead and book as soon as possible at reception, as they get filled quickly. I will add that when we were there, extra journeys in and back to Verona were added on some days, I guess when demand was high and staff were available. (we wouldn't have minded paying a nominal fee for this service, perhaps this could be a way of allowing them to be more frequent)? The cost of a taxi into Verona was 25euros each way. Breakfast was lovely with a choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, continental ham and cheese selection, bacon and scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and pastries each day. The waiting staff are excellent, pleasant and accommodating and they make the best coffee! Dinner menu is a la carte and the choice is of good local dishes, with wine selections on offer being vast. Staff have great knowledge of local produce and wines. It would perhaps have been nice if there was an alternative evening meal available, perhaps the pool menu could be extended to include the evening service, as a la carte did get a little expensive over 7 nights. We used the spa on several occasions and it was never too busy. Again this was kept spotlessly clean. We even ventured into the outdoor pool on a hot sunny day, much I think to the amusement of staff, as they said the pool was open for guests, but it was cold! Amazing value, great location, polite staff and very clean. 5 Star! I wanted to take this moment to iron out any concerns. Yes the hotel may be of a certain age and yes there may be areas that require updating but PLEASE don’t let this put off booking. We arrived late due to a delay and we were welcomed by a member of staff in the early hours (2am to be exact) who was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed in terms of breakfast and room service. Initially we had feared the reception would be closed but thankfully all was well. Breakfast - being vegan I was worried about this but I did not have to worry. There is a wide selection of fruit (much of it organic), beautiful watermelon, seeded grapes, apricots, peaches etc. Plus, cereals (inc. gluten free options), rice milk, soya milk, fresh bread, jams and more. There were also salad /savoury options available. For non vegans, there is lots to choose from including meats, eggs, cheeses, a wide array of cakes, cereals, croissants and much more. A good range of drinks available too! Bottled water, juices, tea, coffee and more! The room - Very clean throughout with daily room service (including fresh towels daily) We had room 409. A wonderful view overlooking vineyards and a small village heading towards Lazise (well worth a visit). Also great for sunsets! Transport. We recommend renting a car - we only stayed 4 nights but this proved to be the winning ticket where we were able to collect (and drop off) from the airport vs. What may have been a lengthy shuttle transfer. We recommend touring Lake Garda, there is so much to see, the people are great and the charm of the villages/architecture/scenery around the lake is really breathtaking. It takes about 4 hours to lap the lake, recommend in stages to get the best experience. Verona is very close to too (approx 35 minutes by car) and well worth the visit. If you’re feeling ambitious, Venice is 1.5 hours away by car (we plan on visiting when we return) You’ll not go hungry, the food is extremely plentiful and affordable wherever you are in and around the lake (plenty of vegan options too) To summarise, if you’re looking for somewhere with charm, good honest people and service with a smile this is the one. Don’t let a few minor faults with the hotel put you off a holiday to remember. If like us, we were there to experience the culture, the scenery, the people, the food,..not to live in the hotel and pick out small irrelevant faults like cracked bathroom tiles and worn paintwork, this is unrealistic. We look forward to returning in the future and send our best wishes to the staff!

Had stayed here before only because it being very close to the airport ＞ the rooms are nice and comfortable＞ as our flight got cancelled we requested for another night which they did confirm but only after reminding them 4 hours later ＞ The staff needs to be more friendly＞ also after the first night had requested them that the heater (air Conditioner ) of my room did not work last night and was very cold when I come back in the evening nothing was done but they did keep the heater on of the bathroom opened so the room can get warm ＞ but these problems especially in this cold weather should be taken care off ＞ as we stayed here for the more than one night so had breakfast which I would say was just about nothing so great ＞ requested for a big taxi for the airport as we had luggage but they could arrange two small one Ok but it seems that the taxi persons were not informed to where as one of the taxi just took off to the railway station without asking and in two minutes we got to know requested to go to the airport which is hardly any distance from the hotel ＞ paid 15 euro for one taxi and this taxi guy said that he will charge 35 euro which was really strange and bad on his part ＞ only mentioning is that please do be careful and inform the taxi person before he starts the car otherwise you will be overcharged ＞

Beautiful structure at first glance you are enchanted, it feels like living inside a fairy tale. Children are put in the foreground with continuous entertainment shows and games. The swimming pool is large and beautiful to look at. The rooms are themed.

Myself and my son stayed at the Corte Cavalli in Sept 23. It's a beautiful old estate 8-10 min by car / cab (15 Euro) away from the centre of Peschiera. The hotel itself can be found at the bottom of a long driveway and is is made up of a number of buildings which also house the reception, restaurant and wellness centre. I have to say that this is one of the most charming hotels I've stayed at for a number of reasons. The rooms themselves are typical old style Italian but with everything you need including air con and beautiful bathrooms. They are cleaned daily to a high standard. Beds very comfy. All staff are warm and friendly and bend over backwards to be of assistance. The pool area is well equipped, clean and very peaceful being surrounded by fields. We stayed half board and the quality of the food was excellent. The only slight negative was the repetition throughout the week. It's a 3 course menu with a few choices for each course each evening. There was something new each day but still, in my opinion, a few more options throughout the week would be beneficial. Waiting staff are helpful and are multi-lingual so don't worry if your Italian is a little rusty! If you dont have a car, Peschiera itself has a port so the ferries which operate as water taxis, can take you to other destinations round the lake - timetables are available online or from the hotel / port booking office. There is also a train station. Verona is 20 mins away and Venice 1.5 hrs by train so perfect for day trips. The hotel has bike hire which is recommended if you don't have a car as constant cabs into town can prove costly. The wellness centre consists of two saunas, large whirlpool and two sensory showers. There is also a treatment room for massages ( charge applies) The weather was great with an average of 25 degrees. Im told its like this in May and September. July and August can be very hot and humid and the hotel and resort gets busy. The upshot is, if you want a friendly, peaceful place to stay in beautiful surroundings to recharge your batteries and read that book you have had bedside your bed for the last 12 months, then this really is the place for you.

easy online checkin. No staff after midnight but all is possible with a downloadable smart-phone-installed key. Very simple, very easy. In the morning, we were greeted by friendly staff and even though breakfast was not included in our price we still got a little take-away cake as a gift.
