We drove to Wencheng, a renowned destination that was new to me – Liu Bowen's hometown and home to the famous Baizhangji scenic area.
The host was already waiting for our arrival. Despite the drizzling rain, they helped with our luggage, carefully guided us, and even assisted with charging our car. This incredible hospitality instantly made the unfamiliar mountain depths feel wonderfully warm and inviting, just like home!
Bluestone steps led us to a starlit courtyard. The moment we pushed open the wooden gate, a striking fusion of ancient village tranquility and modern pastoral elegance greeted our eyes!
We didn't even have time to admire the night sky before stepping into our room. It was wonderfully spacious and comfortable, featuring a large desk by the window – perfect for brewing tea, painting, or simply letting inspiration flow. The host had thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning beforehand, ensuring a comfortable check-in experience. We quickly drifted off into a deep sleep on the plush, soft bed, enveloped by the fresh, invigorating mountain air, eagerly anticipating the next day's adventures!
First thing in the morning, our host delivered coffee and a sumptuous breakfast directly to our room. Framed by the floor-to-ceiling window, the ethereal mountain mist and morning fog seemed to effortlessly steal into my heart, while filtered sunlight dancing through the bamboo blinds gracefully illuminated the washbasin.
Baizhangji is just a short drive away! The area also boasts bustling souvenir photo shops and a vibrant snack street. After a day of hiking and sightseeing, the best part was looking forward to returning to our cozy guesthouse.
The highlight, however, was dusk, when the entire courtyard's fish pond transformed into a captivating vessel for moonlight. Every corner exuded rustic elegance, allowing us to find joyful solitude and escape the city's hustle and bustle in perfect tranquility!
Note: We confirmed it's only a 6-minute drive from the guesthouse to Baizhangji North Gate! Also, within 300 meters, you'll find a She ethnic restaurant, a riverside café, and an intangible cultural heritage noodle workshop, all typically open during peak season. Excellent and highly recommended!

AAndy.FuThe room was very clean and very new. It was newly opened. It arrived very late that day (23:30) 22:40. When the high-speed, the boss called to ask when it was very intimate! After arriving, their back garden can park, don't worry about no place to park, this small villa is also very close to Baizhang! It was more than 900 meters walk, but we still drove in hahaha (you can go in without opening the scenic spot, and you have to charge for driving in). Before going to bed, the sister at the front desk asked us when we would get up tomorrow. He said to prepare breakfast for us! Breakfast is also very satisfactory! ! Sister burned a bowl of noodles and eggs for each of us. My brother's fruit is especially delicious! I still have a hearty egg, but I didn't eat it. I was envious of haha ～ before leaving. Sister gave us a basket of bayberry. It was very sweet. This homestay is very good at hospitality! The room facilities are also very warm. Because I got up too late that day, I didn’t take any photos. The back garden can also barbecue, but I didn’t experience it when I left in a hurry. I will come back with my friends next time. The space is open and parking is convenient. It is very new. The furniture in the house is brand new, the curtains are electronically controlled, and the bedding is white. The only drawback is that there are not many varieties of breakfast and the milk is too diluted and tasteless.

The air is fresh and the view is wide from the balcony in the early morning. My mood is different. I like it. It is suitable for a slow-paced vacation. After entering, the room was quite spacious, but there were no disposable slippers in the room, and the toiletries were only a toothbrush set. It was a pity that I brought my own shower, otherwise it would not be provided. Mineral water was also charged. The only advantage is that takeaway can be delivered to the door of the room!
