It's OK, it's good, and the stay is quite comfortable.
Hygiene: Not bad
Service: Very good, worth staying again
Facilities: Basically everything, with microwave, refrigerator and other basic equipment

At check-in the reception staff member was more interested in watching football and I was told to wait they watched football!!!!
I did not sleep well as the hotel has a loose rope on the flag pole, told in morning that being loose since lockdown. All night a loud metal tinging sound.
The hotel has an amazing heritage and the room shares this heritage, I wish just the staff would book time off for football and did regular site checks every day. Lastly the reception is not 24/7.

Stayed for 1 night thankfully & was very much in & out so just somewhere to sleep. The vibe I got was it was used as a halfway house along side a 1* hotel. The room was not the best & the shower was just a dribble. I think they should let people know it’s used to house the homeless as it didn’t really feel safe as people outside around 1am wouldn’t use again

After many years of attending this well appointed hotel finally i got an upgrade. The hotel is well situated for walks along Shakespeare's smug Trent. The Burton Bridge Brewery is over the road. Town centre a short walk. Parking more than adequate. I think if you can put up with the road noise of a weekend its one of the best hotels in town. Parking my confuse some as the hotel is on an island. Check during winter for flooding which can close the old bridge. Popular during the towns annual boating regatta.
