Unfortunately, despite the decent ratings i'm giving them overall, there was a wedding on the night we stayed. This of course is a wondaful thing and we wish the happy couple the best. However we went to Briars to have a quiet night in the country, and if they had told us that our room would be directly above the wedding, in a very old, non-sound proofed room, then obviously we wouldn't have booked it. The noise was so loud that we could not even hear the TV. Better communication and honesty required!!

The room and view was really lovely. The heater made it warm and nice to sit and look out at the ducks and nice gardens. Buffet breakfast was tasty and well stocked. We would def stay again.

Wonderful setting in beautiful grounds! Staff very obliging. Room lovely with very comfortable beds. pillows etc. The welcoming gift and box of chocolates was much appreciated. Breakfast in the conservatory was beautiful. I highly recommend Briars. We will be back!

Excellent location and great for families and couples. The rooms were very comfortable and the mini bar/fridge was very well stocked. We were very much in touch with nature and had a lovely view of the lake. The Inn next door was a real bonus and the food was very good. Would definitely book again

We loved staying here. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The place is set on beautiful manicured gardens. Our room was quite large, very comfortable and had a lovely view to the lake and fountain. Breakfast was amazing and very good value for money. We would definitely like to go back and recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
