Burra Motor Inn

Lovely setting in a lovely town. Room was a good size though could use an update. Carpet in need of a good clean or replacement. Bathroom needs a heater, brrr. It, too, could do with an update. The shower curtain and tiling need a good clean. There are many little notices pointing out what you must not do. Perhaps a bit more time spent maintaining/cleaning would be of more benefit than the notices posted around the room. THE FRIDGE, oh my goodness. Very noisy old fridge that runs very loudly ALL night. The notice on the fridge stated that the temperature must not be altered. It was running flat out on its highest setting. I suspect it is so old and inefficient that it runs flat out or doesn’t work. This could be very nice accommodation if more effort and attention to detail was given.

Arrived with a prepaid confirmation and told they had no site to suit my caravan. Apparently it was my fault for booking on the internet as they don’t really understand how that works. Offered two site that were either two small or impossible to back into. Refunded my money but completely ruined the planned visit to Burra. Had to drive 68 klms to suitable accommodation.

Stayed overnight while doing a silo art trip. Nce clean rooms, with the creek behind the motel. Contactless check in which work okay, but still like to speak to a person. Quite location say walk to main street and pub. Reasonable price highly recommended.

This is a very friendly and central caravan park with good amenities. The staff are most helpful and obliging. Its an easy walk into town or I would also recommend a cycle, especially for the 'passport' self guided tour to historic sites in and around town.

Lovely little park, very clean amenities and walking to distance to the Main Street area. We stayed for 2 nights on our way north and the park was quiet and had everything we needed. We also went on a day trip to Clare and wandered the street of Burra seeing the beautiful well maintained stone buildings. Certainly a nice little stop over. People in the town were very friendly!
