Paxton Square Cottages

Being elderly and not to sure of my footing, I would have appreciated a handrail on the steps into the living room.l had to be very careful, otherwise a great experience. Paxton Cottage no.8

These cottages are just beautiful. Walk from the main st to warm, clean, spacious and very comfortable accommodation with everything you need for staying in, or going out. Once you get past reception it is all good. Will definitely stay here again.

Centrally located within walking distance of shops

Fabulous cottage, location and value. Spacious. Well equipped. On main road but quiet. Allocated parking out the back. Key pick up is at reception in the caravan park just down the road. We were confused by the instructions thinking it was one from one of the cottages but we found a staff member who put us right. Also when you check in don't forget to ask for the wifi password as it's a different code for each cottage and is changed regularly so it's not in the information book in the room. If you forget it's another trip to the caravan park!!! It's easy to walk everywhere from the cottage and Burra is a lovely little town with a lot of history. The cottages were miners cottages built in the 1800s and have been refurbished 3 times so they definitely have all 'mod cons'! If you're a music fan don't miss the Midnight Oil house just 3km north of Burra. It's the house pictured on the Diesel & Dust album cover. We only had 1 night but were extremely pleased with our stay.
