What a quaint little pub this.. serving excellent local beer, In ancient coach house, this is exactly the kind of vibe you want whilst traveling in Norfolk. Drinking my beer in the front of the wood burner was absolutely lush! I would definitely recommended popping in here for a beer if you're in the area..

Stayed for a couple of nights last weekend with a couple of mates.We were booked in Vine House diagonally across the road (I assumed we would be in main hotel) .What a great place, rooms exceptionally comfortable and personally I think nicer than the actual main hotel. Had B+B and stayed for dinner on Monday, great menu and service was excellent in the restaurant, the manageress , who was very friendly and attentive explained that Green King had taken over the Hoste but more or less left it as it was, great to hear. My only gripe is that tables in the main bar always seemed dirty and lots of empty glasses ,no one seemed bothered about clearing them. Will definitely stay again and will make sure its in Vine House.

Just had a wonderful relaxing stay at The Hoste. The food in the dining room is delicious and of a very high standard & the service impeccable. Each member of staff was extremely helpful. The bedroom and bed is extremely comfortable, with top quality linen, and the housekeeping is excellent. This is our 2nd visit to the Hoste and we shall certainly return again soon. My husband was unwell on our last day, and the reception staff could not do enough for us, running up and downstairs with hot lemon and tissues!! …Thankyou Kayleigh…

The Hoste never lets us down, ever! We have been going now for 13 years. Sometimes staying, more often eating! The staff are so helpful and friendly. Thanks to all. Martin at reception looked after us very well and is a fabulous asset to The Hoste. Thanks Martin. We will be back!

The front of house was absolutely exceptional, the welcome was fantastic and being personally shown to the room was a nice touch. The room itself is quite dated/ old fashioned however this way be to others taste. The facilities within the room are good and the facilities within the hotel are good with a cinema and gym. The bed for me was the real let down. I am not sure if it was just our room however the mattress was two smaller units zipped together. In principle this is fine however it means the middle of the bed is very uncomfortable. I would expect this in a twin room however this was not the case.

A surprise birthday treat. Excellent customer service on arrival. Room spectacular and comfy (Vine) Booked for evening meal. Professional service, vast choice of menu (local fish delicious) and wine list. Lovely village and local walks.

I stay in a lot of hotels and I couldn’t find single thing wrong about this place. A good sized, well provisioned room ( No 73- loved the small bottle of milk in the fridge), friendly staff and very tasty food in the restaurant. Car park at the hotel and location centre village. Brilliant, well done Hoste!

Stayed for a long weekend with the family to celebrate my wife's birthday and had a great experience. Room was spacious for the four of us and two dogs. Breakfast was tasty and the service was excellent. Staff always helpful. A great place to stay if you are exploring north Norfolk.

We hadn't stayed or eaten at The Hostel for a while, I think the constant changes over the last decade had taken it's toll on the place. The food was really good and portion sizes excellent. Staff very friendly and the room was ideal for our one night stay. We will definitely be back again - nice not to see too many Hooray Henrys around either!
