Just come back from a one nights stay the hotel throughout was stunning. We were upgraded to a luxury room on arrival which was lovely surprise. Couldn’t fault the decor and the overall ambience of the hotel. All the staff were friendly but the stay was not perfect. The evening meal was disappointing, for starters we shared crispy chicken and it was very bland just had touch of mayonnaise on it. For main we both had sirloin steak, chips and peppercorn sauce. The steak was just average and the peppercorn sauce lacked substance. For the price we were expecting better. The hot breakfast were very small portions and the continental options were very limited just cereal, yogurt and no croissants or pastries. Overall we had lovely stay but could improve in a few areas.

We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend. We arrived at 3ish, check in wasn’t till 4 and our room was kindly ready for us when we arrived so we could put our bags straight in the room which was a huge bonus. The room was spacious and spotless. We were there with a 16 month old baby so we were relieved that the travel cot was already put up in the room for us. We then relaxed in the lounge, the bar server Ben was very friendly, smiley and attentive. The bar snacks were absolutely delicious. The tomato soup was beautiful and their focaccia sandwiches were very flavourful and fresh. We had dinner booked in the hotel, the restaurant area is very stylish. The only negative thing I would say is that the service in the restaurant was a little slow in the evenings. It could be because some of my family members had different dietary requirements. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, the freshly baked croissants were exquisite. Also loved the granola! The breakfast menu offered nice variety and I loved how everything came on crumpets which felt fabulously British. The hotel never felt too busy it had a relaxing atmosphere, it also had nice smells due to beautiful large diffusers everywhere. Would like to highlight how helpful the staff were with my young 16 month old baby. Everyone was friendly, understanding and attentive. They allowed me to use their freezer and would heat up her food for her every day so that I could put it in my flask before we went out for the day. They also had her breakfast ready for her every morning at 7:30 on the dot when breakfast opened. the harper is well located in a beautiful village that has a playground nearby, there were sheep right outside the hotel too. Fab for babies and they have really nice high chairs which were all clean. Loved the location of the hotel and the local villages were gorgeous we loved holt and blakeney. All in all staff were well trained, attentive, kind, friendly and seemed genuinely happy to work there. We had a great stay and would recommend. Thank you

The Harper is an amazing place to get away from it all. The staff are all incredibly friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. A special oak mention must go to Bart in the cocktail bar. He makes the most amazing chilli margaritas I’ve ever tasted!

We loved this hotel. We stayed in a ‘biggest plus’ room which had fabulous furniture and a huge television giving a cinema like experience. There was complimentary drinks, as well as water, which is very unusual in our experience. Along with popcorn and delicious cookies, we were impressed with all that was on offer. Breakfast was good, though you have to ask for toast if you want it, and the pastries were never ready at the time breakfast service opens. We had dinner in Stanley’s one night, which was pricey, but very good. Staff were always friendly and helpful. We booked our half hour slot for exclusive use of the pool. The pool was not too hot, the jacuzzi was great and the sauna comfortable. Unfortunately the steam room wasn’t working but it was probably just as well as the half an hour wouldn’t have been enough if we wanted to use that too. We did have a couple turn up early for their slot and come into the pool which was annoying, but the slots aren’t supervised. We would definitely return here.

We stayed at The Harper for three nights over Christmas. It is a beautiful small boutique hotel set in the lovely village of Langham. Really lovely cosy hotel serving great food and excellent staff service. We had a 3-course Dinner on Christmas Eve, breakfast each day, a 5-course Lunch on Christmas Day, an evening Open Platter, plus all-day Brunch on Boxing Day. The hotel also own The Blue Bell Inn in the village( which is also an option for Christmas Day Lunch). Only ca 1 mile walk to Morton or ca 1.5 miles to Blakeney, plus a lovely village circular walk. The Langham Dome( old WW2 air base) is only a ca 1.5 mile walk. Can only book a private 30 min session in the indoor pool. Can throughly recommend. We also had a second overnight stay in May, when we enjoyed lovely evening on their terrace. Only ca 4 miles from the beautiful Georgian Town of Holt.

What a gem of a hotel. We were totally blown away as soon as we pulled up in the car park and it did not disappoint, the hotel smelt amazing, it hit's you as soon as you walk in the reception, everywhere pristine! Our room was fabulous, loved the champagne bucket, the complimentary drinks and popcorn, a very nice touch! We even had a separate dressing room with a funky retro radio, 2 lovely high back leather chairs, a four poster bed which was to die for, plush pillows and duvet and the list goes on. There is also a beautiful spa and swimming pool and you can book a 30 minute slot which is a great idea! We enjoyed a wonderful meal in Ivy's and it's dog friendly, such a beautiful dining room with lots of nice things to look at and it overlooks the pretty courtyard garden. They even put the Englandf game on for us all and provided us with a free beer! The staff were amazing, they couldn't do enough for us. The cocktails were out of this world and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast served in the garden in the sunshine, what more could we ask for. We can't wait to come back soon, sooner rather than later. Our friends thought the same....just amazing!

This was my third trip (the first with my son as our annual ‘pre back to school/end of summer trip) the second with my husband and this time as a family to celebrate our son’s 13th birthday. I just cannot fault this hotel. It really lives up to its claim of being ‘luxuriously laid-back’ and nothing, genuinely, is too much trouble. It’s become a real home from home for us and I’d say we find it rare that places deliver exactly what they aspire to but The Harper is an exception and we love it. Thank you so much on this occasion for the beautiful birthday cake, for accommodating our ask in the restaurant (our son fancied something from the main menu whilst we had the tasting menu) and for really looking after us all. Fabulous once again to see John, who has built up such a rapport with our son and greets him like an old friend. This was the second time we’ve stayed in the family room and there’s plenty of space and fabulous comfy beds to retire to. The location is fab for the coast, for Holt and for general North Norfolk exploring (we love Salthouse Beach) and it’s excellent the hotel has electric car charge points to top up before you head out/home. I have no doubt we’ll be back.

What an enchanting place, tucked neatly away near the beautiful coast in Norfolk. The hotel is immaculate with a wonderful ambience and the staff are so welcoming and attentive. The food is delicious, all locally sourced with an excellent wine list. Cosy areas to chill and fabulous cocktail menu to help you relax and unwind. We will be returning soon!

A cuddle from start to finish. Such a beautiful building, friendly staff, great food and so special - treat yourself. A beautiful converted building, a pool and sauna you book and have to yourself, proper coffee in your room and excellent food.
