I stayed in room 6. Loved it. The only problem I had it wasn’t disable friendly. I couldn’t use the shower as was too high for me to get in. The settee was too low, but I cannot fault anything else. The breakfasts were lovely. Welcoming people, so friendly. The bed was comfy, all immaculately clean. Want to bring my sml dog with me next time, if allowed. She’s a well behaved girl. Want to return soon as able. May I suggest a ramp for shower and front door, which can be moved if not required. Jan Walton, with Mrs L Marshall.

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a friend's wedding. Had room 3 overlooking the front of the property- was lovely waking up to see horses walking down the road! Bed was unbelievably comfortable and the room was clean with a nice en suite. Had breakfast both mornings with doorstop sourdough toast and delicious marmalade. We were served by Anabel & Katherine who were both friendly, chatty and lovely ladies. Would definitely stay here again.

I have just returned from an excellent stay at Cider Cottages. We had Room 4 which was at the rear of the property. It is a large double aspect room with views over the garden and countryside beyond. The bed was very comfy and a decent ensuite shower room was in the corner. The included breakfast was excellent, tasty and a good selection which you pre order with the supplied form. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The cottages are situated in the perfect location a few minutes walk from Burley with it's pubs and gift shops. We will definitely be returning. Trevor and Dave.

You know when you feel at home the moment you walk in? The room was large and comfortable and the lovely double bed was soooo comfortable. Hugely enjoyable breakfast in the pantry and the staff are lovely. It is set in a beautiful location and is an ideal base to get out and explore the New Forest.

I really can't fault this B&B. For the money, it was perfect for us. Its location near Burley means it is easy to get to from the A31. If you like walking, you can be out on the forest in about 5 minutes. Burley is 5 minutes the other way, with a few little shops and a couple of good pubs. If you are lazy or just hate walking, you can drive anywhere in the forest from there. The room, though not luxurious, is clean and well appointed. The bed is comfy with lovely soft linen. This is no 5* hotel, but for what you pay, I think you would struggle to find better. Breakfast is excellent. Lots of choice. I recommend the porridge and scrambled egg. Hash browns were soft inside with a hint of crunch. The latte is also fantastic and brewed with local beans. This is a family owned and run business, and the hosts are all very friendly and helpful. We chatted to several of them and felt very welcome. This was our second visit and we will be back again later this year hopefully. They also use lots of local produce and suppliers, which I love. They brew and sell cider and apple juice on site, the scrumpy was excellent. There is also a tearoom with a whole load of calories in the form of cakes and cookies just waiting to expand your waistline and give you bingo wings. They also do savoury grub, including breakfasts.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Cider Cottages 2 weeks ago. The room contained a double and single bed for the two of us. It was very bright with two windows onto the rear garden where there were geese, hens etc., and looking out over the back hillside. Attached to the side is a cafe where you have breakfast. There were plenty of choices for breakfast and such big portions. Started with full English but so much we had to reduce the following day. This establishment is situated in such a lovely area and so easy to get onto the New Forest and see all the ponies etc. Compared to other establishments this was very low priced. Nothing at all to complain about - lovely and clean in both room and cafe, friendly and very helpful staff and we would recommend 100% and will be re-visiting if we ever go back to that area
