Secluded cabin in the woods located in Nebo, NC in close proximity to Lake James, known to be one of the most scenic and cleanest lakes in the Southeast. We have an awesome outdoor area to enjoy with fire pit to relax around. Property directly links to the OverMountain Victory Trail via stone staircase with access to hundreds of miles of beautiful hiking. We are best suited to sleep 4 but 6 is ok if you don't mind a sleeper sofa (its new). We are located 4 miles from the Linville Gorge, 2.2 miles from Lake James State Park, 1.2 miles from Fonta Flora Brewery at Whippoorwill, and 7 miles from Mica Town Brewery Nebo. Marion Lake Club is within about 5 miles if you love golf, they also have a very tasty bistro called Slices. Mountain bike, hike, swim, kayak or canoe at Lake James State Park. Rent a boat to enjoy Lake James. Perfect getaway What a perfect getaway!! The cabin is secluded which we loved, the yard was beautiful and spacious. So many hiking options in the area and we hiked to the brewery which was great for drinks and dinner. The cabin was clean and welcoming, we really had a great time. Our two dogs came with us and they loved it as much as my husband and myself.

Peaceful Getaway We love the mountain biking/hiking trails at Lake James/Fonta Flora. It can't get any better! This is our fourth time visiting the area. This home is in a perfect location to access trailheads. If you love the outdoors and beautiful scenery, this is the place to be.

Hidden little gem! This quaint little cabin provided the perfect respite at the end of our couple of busy days having a family reunion on Lake James. It was so quiet and clean and made me wish we could've stayed longer. Thanks Josh and Sharon for being such great hosts!

Pleasant place Quaint little cottage with excellent hosts. We enjoyed access to Lake James and surrounding hiking trails.

Exceeded expectations! We chose this place instead of staying in downtown Asheville and our so glad we did! We walked the local trails, visited all the local breweries (Fonta flora was our favorite and was within walking distance via a nice trail with views of mountains and woods), ate at bones jones butchery, hiked at an amazing waterfall called Tom’s creek falls trail, explored Asheville a short drive away through the mountains, stopping at new Belgium brewery and hi-wire brewery, and spent the evenings grilling beneath the outdoor lights and playing with the dogs. Overall this was an exceptional stay and we want to come visit again, the place could have easily accommodated more people so we want to bring friends next time!
