AC Hotel Burgos

Very modern and clean hotel, spacious rooms.. friendly reception. Beautiful area, walk along the promenade with cafes and restaurants nearby, and just beside the old town!

Pros • Historic shell, modern heart. Housed in a beautifully preserved classical building that’s been tastefully updated inside, the property blends old-world character with contemporary comforts. • Thoughtful lobby perks. Complimentary sweets and chilled flavoured water at reception are a welcome touch after a day of sightseeing. • Reliable AC-brand rooms. Beds, linens, workspace, and bathrooms match the high, uniform standard you’d expect from other AC Hotels—no surprises, just solid comfort. • Prime central location. A quick stroll puts you at Burgos Cathedral, the riverfront, and the tapas-laden streets of the casco histórico, so you can forget the car once you’ve parked. • Good overall value. Considering the setting and room quality, nightly rates feel fair for a city-centre stay. Cons • Nightmare garage access. The basement car park is reached via an extremely tight ramp; larger vehicles risk scraping walls, making every entry and exit nerve-wracking. • Stress factor. The awkward parking situation can overshadow an otherwise relaxing stay—strongly consider using nearby public lots instead. Bottom line I’d happily book the hotel again for its comfort and location—but only if I leave the car elsewhere. If you’re driving anything larger than a compact, save your paintwork and skip the on-site garage.

This is a nice hotel located in a perfect place to see Burgos. We enjoyed our short stay here, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I deducted one star only because the rooms are small which is hard because we couldn’t really unpack our luggage. But this is not enough to prevent us from staying in this hotel again. In fact, next time we come to Burgos we plan to stay here. It’s a pleasant hotel in a lovely location.

This Marriott is in a great location relative to the city center. It’s close to many restaurants and easy walked to the cathedral and also central to the Camino de Santiago route. The rooms were clean, and the bedding was crisp and comfortable. There were checkin refreshments and appeared to be a lovely restaurant at ground level though it was not open when we checked out so cannot speak to the food. As a hotel, it was good. As a Marriott for Marriott members, it was fine but nothing that would make you feel loyal to the Marriott program i.e. no lounge or drink options when there is no lounge, no upgrades, no breakfast options that began early, and no real concierge services. Overall, would recommend
