Bankview

I spent a lovely week at Bankview and had a wonderful time exploring the villages from there. The location is very central - when you walk out of the front door on a Tuesday you walk straight into their market. The room was 1 of 4 rooms - lovely room, comfortable bed and I really enjoyed the treat basket. It isn't a hotel with a reception desk but their reservations were really helpful in storing my luggage when I popped them a message.

Had such an amazing stay at this place! When we arrived, the heating was already turned on - with it being -2 degrees this was such a nice bonus as we didn't have to sit and wait in the cold like other properties in the area. We got off at the Moreton train station and had to walk a short 4 minutes to get to the property! Communication prior to arrival was excellent, as the property is self service and self check-in, all the necessary codes were given to use well in advance! The welcome basket with goodies was also a lovely touch, signaling an in-person touch with no staff available, loved this!

Charming but needs improvements The location of the property is perfect for your stay in Morton-in-Marsh and gives a very cute first impression. However, when it comes fo functionality it is lacking. The twin room is much smaller than the description indicates, with no privacy between the shower, toilet and beds. The two beds at at one end of the long room with one having a lamp balancing over it on a small shelf. It also needs its matress replaced as it sinks in tbe middle. The second bed is close to the wooden (Barn type door) that has a constant draft, so in the mist of winter was freezing over night. The linnen however is quite cosy. Between the beds is an old desk, that could be removed and replaced with wall shelves to help with space. The heating is a plug inelectric that really stuggled with the minus degrees over night and drafts from the door. It is the cutest little room and with some privacy curtains, fixing the draft and heating is a fun stay away if are close friends.

The room is small, dark, it was cold in July and a heater took up the only available electric outlet. The grounds fence off a pile of old junk visible on the property yard. You get just two bare towels a couple. No manager on site. Hot water is hit or miss. Nice welcome basket of candy chips and water. Great location. Cheap.

Room was damp and fan heater - nothing like the photos on the website. I REFUSED TO STAY AND LEFT. RUINED MY EVENING
