The hostel has its ages and our room is more student dormitory like, this meets the expectations as hostel. Everything is clean and tidy, and good enough to stay one night. Breakfast is nice too. The big highlight for this hostel is its surroundings and all outdoor activities (ex. Biking, running, hiking etc). Lots of historical landmarks/buildings and beautiful forests allow you to plan a culture or nature tour. Highly recommended to stay a few more days here to explore more!

Basic hotel voor toch een stevige prijs 116€ waar je zelf bed mag opmaken en afhalen, in kleine ruimte met 2 stapelbedden,oké, is met douche op kamer echter geen handdoeken. Dus dan maar geen douche .. en dan vind ik het toch een onvoldoende voor prijs / kwaliteit verhouding.

's Avonds hadden we een discodansfeest in de Stayokay en dan blijven overnachten. Beter kan je het niet hebben. De kamers in het landhuis waren alleen voor feestgangers te reserveren. Logisch, want bij een dansfeestje staat de muziek op behoorlijk niveau. We hadden een romantische hoekkamer, met bloemblaadjes op het tweepersoonsbed. (De enige kamer met een tweepersoonsbed: de andere kamers hebben stapelbedden.) De kamer is krap, maar goed te doen. Wasbak is op de kamer. In een apart hokje douche en wc: daar was het behoorlijk koud, er lag geen kleedje wat toch wel comfortabeler zou zijn geweest. De kamer zelf was wel goed te verwarmen. We hebben heerlijk geslapen. In de ochtend een ontbijtbuffet in het poorthuis bij het landhuis. Dit was vergelijkbaar met een 3-sterrenhotel. Erg aardig personeel. In de omgeving kan je goed wandelen en fietsen en er is een fort, dat op gezette tijden te bezoeken is.

5 sterren voor de barman van het koetshuis, vriendelijke autntieke man. Echter dat je niet meer cash kan betalen is voor mij de reden dat ik er niet meer kom. Ik kom al 20 jaar wekelijks wandelen en een bakkie drinken met een gebakje, ik neem mijn tas nooit mee, alleen een tientje cash, zodat ik onbekommerd kan wandelen. Sowieso is geld een wettig betaalmiddel dus voor mij houdt het hiermee op.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quite spartan - without towels and very basic. The breakfast was good. The main attraction is all the nature / biking trails around the property.
