We booked this hotel because we wanted to save a little bit of money and it was nearby several of the attractions we wanted to check out like Gruyeres Caslte, the cheese factory and Maison Cailler. We came at night and were pleasantly surprised by the view we found from our window and the nearby Chateau Bulles. Bulles seems like a pleasant town but we didn't stay too long because we had quite a few activities planned nearby as we made our way through Switzerland with a car.
The room felt charming and cozy. We appreciated that it had a Nescafe machine, a seating area, a desk and an adapter beside the bed. The bed was comfy and we got a good night's rest. The shower was good too but you may want to consider bringing your own hair products because they have an all in one dispenser.
The front desk at the hotel has limited hours and closes fairly early and opens around 9 am. We were a little confused because we had "pre-paid" but our booking showed we had to pay at the desk so we waited a while and found out we were ok to go. We checked in after hours and the hotel had emailed us a code for their lockbox and it dropped down our room key.
There is plenty of street parking near the hotel that is free in the evening and up until 8 am. The hotel also has a few free spots right in front of the hotel which was convenient. This was a nice hotel and would be a good base if you're planning to spend a few nights in the area because there are quite a few things to check out nearby. There are also a few good restaurants and cafes nearby.
