Nshongi Camp

Nshongi Camp camp is an amazing place to stay in Bwindi, I wish I could stay longer. I hope I will return one day. The camp is in 5 minutes walking distance from the National Parks gate where the gorilla trekking starts. I got there by public bus (gateway) from Kampala and after took a bodaboda. The boda ride was also amazing and spectecular. The owner Silver is super helpful, also helped with the gorilla permit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The rooms are very nice. The place is wonderful. Thank you for everything.

Excellent experience, genuine friendly staff, beautiful environment and very clean rooms. When we arrived at camp our car broke down. The next day Gloria took as to the base of Gorilla trekk and afterwards she organized everything that was needed to fix the car. When we returned from the trekk the car was back in order and they also washed our clothes. We also recommend to do the Batwa (Pygmies) experience. Again Gloria organized everything and we went to walk around the small village full of cultural experience.

We spent 2 nights in the camp with my wife. Ideally located for the nature-lovers,at the edge of the forest, you could see gorilla and elephant, if you're lucky. Simplicity, authenticity, the friendly staff is the cherry on top

We loved our stay at Nshongi camp! We were welcomed by the friendly staff from the very moment we drove into the parking. The room was beautiful and spacious and clean, which is super important. We spent alot of our time relaxing on the wooden deck built on the edge of the forest and marsh, where we saw all kinds of birdlife, a few different monkey species and a Sitatunga. What an awesome place to stay, especially if Gorilla trekking as it is 5 min to the park gate. Thank you so much Nshongi Camp, we will definitely be back !

I had a wonderful time at the Nshongi Camp - it's a very cozy place with an amazing view for the park. Sometimes monkeys were visible from the camp. The room I was sleeping in was spacious with a big toilet. Towels, flip-flops other basic things were included. The staff is really friendly and helpful, they are always ready to help you. You can also make a laundry over there or buy some drinks at the bar. They can adjust their meals to you - in my case, I have many food allergies so I got modified meals which were prepared just for me. It's a good place to stay and take a rest during the trip - in the evenings there is often a campfire so we could sit, talk, and relax together or even dance haha. Lovely place that I wish to come back to in the future!
