Super 8 by Wyndham Buena Vista

We checked into our room with 2 full size beds. The carpet was dirty, walls were gross and there was a horrible smell (that lasted the entire time). There were no available rooms to switch. The first night, my husband and I slept in the same bed, but it canoed in the center. The next night, I slept in the other bed, and on my drive home, I noticed bed bug bites! Gross, and unsanitary. there is also a pic of the "reading lamp" that happens to be upside down and disconnected in a not so safe way.

Manager is Discriminating against service animals with legal papers. The rooms are broken, dirty, out of date and moldy

We settled for the Super 8 after 10 hours of battling a severe storm and countless road closures. The lobby was surprisingly nice, while the rate was surprisingly high. We booked and paid for one double queen for the night. We immediately noticed the beds seemed too small to be queen sized. To ensure we weren’t miss judging, we measured the them to discover they were indeed not queens. Both mattresses were full XL at 54” wide. Aside from inaccurate mattress sizing, they were cheap and uncomfortable. The room was dingy with used toiletries. Gross… During checkout, I asked about differences of rates on double full xl vs double queen. The receptionist became argumentative, advising they only have rates for double queen and single king. I decided it wasn’t worth arguing over and left. We won’t go back and will recommend others to go elsewhere.

This was the only place available when I pulled in late . The room wasn’t clean , there was old food in the refrigerator and microwave . The 2nd bed in the room appeared to have been slept in . I should have slept in my truck . A waste of hard earned money .

We have been occasionally staying at this hotel since 2014. I'm not sure we will be coming back. I walked in yesterday evening to check in and the place reeked of ********* smoke. The guy working at the front desk never acknowledged me, wouldn't speak to me, just repeatedly sighed heavily, rubbing his face like I was a total pain. I was just checking in. We go up to our room, place still reeks of *********. We enter our room, and I notice right away that the top lock is missing. I tell my daughter to wait in the room and I'll get us a different room. 1/2 hour later after being sighed at repeatedly, no communication, I give up. The front desk guy could not figure out how to give us a new room. He said rooms were filled with the guys installing carpet. Great, so my young daughter and I (her mom) are in a hotel filled with men, ********* smoke, and an unfriendly and unhelpful staff. In the morning, the coffee ran out quickly, and we didn't see a staff member for nearly 40 minutes to ask to brew another pot. We left and got a coffee at Brown Dog Cafe. It is really a bummer how this place has gone downhill.

Don't stay here. Staff is RUDE. Place reeks of cig and **** smoke. Place was dirty. Was continually harassed about my small dog, and if the dog was left unattended animal control would be called and the key card didn't work and I was told that I should of checked the card better before locking my door when I left to eat as it is an old building.

Room was dirty and and musty, 1/2 used conditioner in bathroom, no shampoo, but 2 lotions. I was disappointed that this was a Wyndham motel. I did not stay in any other Wyndham motels after this one, had stayed in several previous to this one and I have to say it is hit and miss, some are nice others are not. This one definitely was the worse one I stayed in.

My new wife and I spoke to the evening desk person en route who stated he had a King Room available. We arrived at the property at 8pm and he was extremely rude to both my wife and I but we were running late and booked a King room aind paid the King room price in person. The rates were higher than those listed on other websites and there was no price match. We were on our way to Cottonwood Hot Springs and wanted to secure the room and did not go to the room until 2 hours later when we returned to the hotel only to find we were put in a room with 2 double beds and there was no desk staff to complain to or resolve the issue. The bait and switch tactic was not appreciated and there was no resolution or anyone available to help us resolve the situation. The following day we spoke to Walter, the manager who offered a rebate but not a refund even though we had contracted and paid for a King room. The facility was ok but there were people screaming in the halls and banging on doors at 3am. The front doors to the hotel never locked even though the desk was unmanned after 10pm and anyone could wander into the hotel which had street access from Main Street. The hotel was non smoking yet smelled of cigarettes and ********* in the lobby and in the hallways of the second level. Quite unpleasant. Walter stated he was unable to fire the desk staff because he dated the hotel owners daughter even though there have been numerous complaints. The whole experience, aside from Walter being a nice guy, was unpleasant from the staff treatment to my wife and I to the heavy smoke smell throughout the hotel with no smoking signs posted everywhere. I have stayed at the same hotel under prior ownership and the new group has some things to learn about the hospitality business. The shower also had pipes that screamed making even a relaxing shower impossible. Not sure I would recommend a stay at this facility. The pool looked nice and the breakfast was as expected but the pricing and room booking were not at all as you would expect in a Wyndham property.

Painfully slow check in. After our check in 5 people were in line for 30+minutes. Rooms are average. Way overpriced. Local taxes added $24. Breakfast selection very average but the staff were good, kept food replenished. Check out process was easier than check in. Location is a 15 minute walk to Main Street and restaurants.
