"Royal Astoria Hotel hosted my wedding in November of 2024. My family and I stayed at the hotel for over a week, and we found the service to be exceptional. Sameer was always available and very attentive to my family’s needs. We ate many meals at the on-site restaurant, and the chef provided several different types of cuisine. He even offered to teach my mother how to make the local cuisines. The food was excellent. The rooms were clean and serviced every other day with fresh sheets and towels. The rooms also offered hot water and air conditioning. Coordinating the wedding with the hotel staff was a breeze, and the garden provided a beautiful environment for our 100+ guests. We look forward to returning to Royal Astoria Hotel the next time we visit Kathmandu."

"GRIM. Rooms very spacious but dirty and badly equipped. Our room, or should I say our suite, was large with 2 bedrooms, a good size lounge and a large kitchen. That's the best. Sadly the worst was grim. The hotel appears to have last been decorated or upgraded in the 1970's. The main bedroom was spacious. There was a further bedroom that was of a good size but had no furniture, no bed etc. The kitchen was also spacious however the cupboards were bare despite there being plenty of space. No fridge, no cooking facilities, no kitchen equipment ie. cutlery or crockery. To be honest it was just dirty and we were with a group of people who found the same standards in their accommodation too. The staff were professional but sadly not friendly or welcoming. Happily the staff did find a fridge and deliver it to our room. This hotel has great potential but fails to deliver. Food ok. To say we were disappointed is an understatement."

Best part it's new and very peaceful close city and near to Buddhilkantha hillock. and I can confidently say it was one of the best hospitality experiences I've had in Nepal.Breakfast was a delightful spread, and the in-house bakery and coffee at Cuppa & Splash is a must-try! Highly recommend Mhendo Hotel & Suites to travelers, couples, and even locals looking for a rejuvenating city escape. Can’t wait to return!"
