The rooms are run down and very little money has been spent on improvements. It was annoying that the manager asked me to pay up front for my four days to stay at the Omega. Generally I pay at check out time. The manager insisted on three occasions overall. I suspected that previous guests had given him a bad time about their experiences. The reality check came for me on the third day in the afternoon. There was a sudden hard rain in the afternoon at about 4:00 pm just as I was arriving back to my room. the drainage system is ineffective. The floors throughout the hotel had been flooded out. Given the rooms are on the first floor I can not work out how this happened. There was a very bad smell of contaminated water sort of like diluted sewerage water near the reception area and throughout the corridor and staff were busy trying to soak up the water. I was lucky as the bad smell was not in my room but one other guest was irate. Neither of us will be staying here ever again. The only outstanding feature of the Omega is the woman that is on reception. She was friendly, honest, helpful and knew the importance of having a good relationship with guests. Omega management can turn this into a good hotel. Just spend money on maintenance and simple upgrades.

Currently here at the moment and tbh I’m disappointed! Not like the reviews say. It’s a good 45 min walk to the centre of Budepest. The breakfast is lack lustre at most! Luke warm hot drinks, only one side of the toaster works and very basic buffet. Rooms have no tv, or hairdryers! The amenities it says are here simply aren’t, rooftop bar closed, pasta shop never open, spar next door is very limited hours and the staff are rude. If your wanting somewhere to stay with things around it don’t stay here it feels like your in the middle of no where. Nothing much around it so do expect to be walking quite a way to get to anything. I comply understand it’s geared towards student but even these must be bored to tears with the lack of amenities around the hotel, not even anywhere to grab a bite to eat within a good 10 min walk. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not On a plus note the reception staff are lovely

First of all, it's really good to reserve a spot. The outer edge of the building is a variety of colorful pipes, which are very eye-catching and easy to find. The yellow bus stop is diagonally opposite the hotel lobby on the right. It takes two minutes to walk there. Turn left and walk straight for a few minutes to the subway entrance and exit. There is a chain bakery where you can buy fresh bread and drinks. The hotel lobby is quite comfortable, with quite a lot of guests. Several young people at the front desk are polite but not smiling. Check-in is quite fast, and you can also store luggage for free. The room is not big but quite good. The hotel does not provide toiletries and disposable slippers, which need to be prepared by yourself. My order seems to have no breakfast, but the front desk told me that there is breakfast after checking in. I was very happy. I went to taste it opposite the lobby on the first floor the next day. The food is quite rich, but the various breads are relatively hard, and the toast is soft. Some are cut and some are not cut. You can cut it yourself, but the taste is salty, which surprised me. The various sausages are really delicious, and there are many varieties of cereals and nuts beside the milk. The fruit is fresh, and the honey is also delicious. I stayed for one night and checked out quickly. Overall, I recommend that you can stay again when you come to Budapest

The Florin hotel in Budapest was excellent as was the location. Area 6 is well located to the Jewish quarter and the bohemian area. The hotel is 10 min walk to St Stephen’s church. Trams stop right outside the hotel and main metro station is less than a 10 min walk. For over 65s public transport is free, but is cheap anyway and so easy to get about. Attila, Balint and Lori at reception were great ambassadors for Budapest and the hotel - helpful and friendly. The rooms spacious with a little kitchenette and good bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Had a great time there. Location is convenient and a few mins walk from central station. Overall a nice experience . The breakfast was nice and thoroughly enjoyed my stay

The hotel is conveniently located very close to public transportation. The tram is right across the street and the Metro station just a short walk away. You can also walk across to the other side of town where all the stores and restaurants are by using the Chain Bridge. However the bridge was closed for pedestrians last month, not sure if it is now open. Our room was a good size and we had a beautiful view of the Danube river and the Parliament. The small balcony outside our window needed to be cleaned though, as there were spider webs everywhere. Realized that after I stuck my head outside to look at the view.. You can also look outside the window in the hallway when you get off the elevators. It has a nice view of the castle at night. Bathroom was fine, there was a nice bathtub with a nice shower but I found the bathtub very high and it took me extra effort to climb in and out. Never had that problem before but for some reason this tub was not easy to climb into. The breakfast had many yummy choices. There were not many changes in what they offered everyday, but still they had many choices and also many different coffees you could prepare on the machine. Front desk staff were cordial and one young man in particular was very helpful with everything that we needed. I don't remember his name but he was in his 30s I believe with a goatie. All in all we enjoyed our stay! The only thing we wished is that this hotel had a pool, but oh well!

The hotel locates at a very excellent location. Many main attraction points around it. The restaurant for breakfast buffet has a very good view. ALL the staff of the front desk is very helpful and nice. I arrive on the morning and they help to check the availability of the room. They allow the customer to have early check in early when the availability of the room is OK. Everything of the hotel is good. I recommend other people to stay at this hotel when they come to Budapest. I will stay again in Hilton Budapest when I visit there again.

Clean hotel with comfortable bed and generous breakfast selection. We relaxed in the soaking pools every night after walking all day. For a traditional meal with great atmosphere & live music, walk outside, go left & walk 2-3 blocks behind the hotel. Extensive menu & spirits selection at very affordable prices. My dear friends, this post is going to be about one hotel in Budapest near the airport. Generally my stay was for couple days and it was not bad. However, the location of the hotel was not so close to the airport and anyway you have to take a taxi. The building and design inside is stucked in beginning of 2000 years. It is need to be updated with fresh and new one furniture, to be honest. But, in general rooms are quite big and there are enough space. I stayed in the room with balcony even. It was clean and smelled good, what is really important. Breakfast buffet line provides guests with fresh meal and wide range of snacks, fruits and pastry. Once for dinner I have choose burger with sweet potato fries - it was tasty and a lot. Here you may find the ping pong table to play and sauna and jacuzzi as well. Only because of service and people who is working there I gave “very good” mark, because staff was always friendly and tried to do their job professionally and kindly according to the guests. If owners would renew this hotel and create the resort it will be really great hotel to stay.
