We visit Bucksport each summer for the Maine Silent Film Festival and chose to stay at this hotel because of its proximity to the Alamo Theater and because of its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent staff. We’re looking forward to staying here again next July, if not sooner!

We loved staying at the Fort Knox in! The rooms are clean, beds are comfy and the location couldn’t be better! We come to Bucksport every year and it’s a quick trip to Belfast, Ellsworth, Acadia and many other small towns in the area! Staff were super friendly and helpful! We had a water view room with windows that actually open so you can wake up to not only a beautiful view but a fresh breeze off the water! It’s a short walk down the street for a great breakfast at WarrensWaterfront Restaurant or pizza and the Village Pizza! Pictures are from our room!

Older property and room. Bed was comfortable. Located on the beautiful Penobscot River with great views of Fort Knox, and the Narrows Bridge. We hiked the river walk that passes right by the inn. Bucksport is a quiet little town with some nice places for seafood.

Clean, quiet hotel with a great location and a view you can't beat. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again. The proximity to the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory and Fort Knox was the draw for me. Only an hour from Acadia as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fort Knox Inn. The location is great and everyone there is so nice and helpful. It is clean and comfortable. We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Had a very pleasant stay. We had the King Bedroom and stayed for three nights. Definitely ask for the riverside view, we had the view of a full moon over the bridge at night which was awesome. No restaurant but lots of places within a five minute walk. Right on the waterfront with a waterfront path right at the back door, with historical plaques that make for an interesting stroll. They could use a towel rack in the bathroom, but this is the only very minor gripe I have. We had a small issue with room cleaning and the manager was very friendly and instantly resolved it and offered even more then I asked for. Bed was quite comfortable, room was neat and clean and had everything we needed like a coffeemaker, fridge, and microwave. Free wifi. The bathroom was small but serviceable, and the tub shower had great pressure and a good shower head for my 6 foot height. My wife and I agree we would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Fort Knox inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Calling to book directly with the hotel got us a great rate.The view from our room was beautiful especially in the moonlight!

Stayed here a couple of years ago. Seemed older but adequate then. No issues. This time room looked more tidy and updated. Very nice. Five Star review based on resort/tourist type hotel. It's not the Ritz and doesn't pretend to be. I live in a beach resort town and this hotel is better than dune in my area. Would definitely stay here again.
