I was not satisfied with this trip. There was no hot water in the middle of the night. The deluxe room I booked was on the first floor, which looked like a semi-basement. There was still no hot water when I woke up the next day. Finally, I was moved to the third floor with the coordination of Ctrip. Alas, I will not book again in the future

A very old hotel, the rooms do not look like what is displayed on Booking, dirty walls, torn curtains, the bathroom leaves something to be desired in the shower, the cleanliness is the same, only the towels were changed and the bed was made, otherwise nothing, this is a "5 star" hotel. Only the price is 5 stars. I paid for breakfast and they did not find me on the list, I had to go to the reception to tell them and have someone (the manager) go there with me to say that I paid. Too bad for a hotel of this size. I can also post pictures but I say not to denigrate them so badly.

This hotel sits on a VERY busy road and there is no area to pull up with your car to check-in unlike other hotels. There are a few reserved parking spots in front of the hotel to park, but you have to move a barrier out of the way. We ended up taking an Uber to the spa so we wouldn't have to move our car. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and we slept great. Our one issue was that even with the shower door closed when showering, water was able to leak underneath the glass and into the entryway near the entrance to our room. The breakfast was okay. We had a larger selection at other hotels we stayed at.

We stayed in the Grand Hotel Continental in Bucharest for five nights in May. We had a large room on the third floor which was very nicely furnished and very quiet. The room was cleaned and refreshed every day. All of the staff were very courteous and friendly, and most of them spoke very good English. There was a large breakfast buffet and there were also made to order options. The hotel exudes old world charm and has a very nice common area on the ground floor. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is just a little bit north of the hustle and bustle and noise of Old Town, but is within easy walking distance. In fact, it is within easy walking distance of many of the main attractions of Bucharest and many good restaurants. Location is very important in Bucharest. During the day the old narrow streets are totally unable to handle the high volume of traffic and become a log jam. Walking is invariably the fastest way to get some place that is less than a mile away. The trip to the airport is 20 - 25 minutes early in the morning with no traffic, otherwise it is about 45 minutes or more. We highly recommend this hotel because of its charm, great staff, and excellent location. We would gladly stay here again.
