Nice spacious room and clean. Breakfast is simple but good. Location is right in the centre of the old town. Downside is the very loud music playing from the bars/restaurant in the evenings so if you’re trying to sleep...bring ear plugs……..

A lovely Hotel right in the heart of the Old Town. Small Reception area but well manned and Receptionists very friendly and helpful. We stayed for three nights at the start of our tour of Transylvania and one night at the end. The room we had for three nights was massive with everything you could need and the bed was really comfortable.Be warned, Bucharest is MAD on a Saturday night! Music wall to wall on a Saturday night until Sunday morning. Didn’t bother me as I wore ear plugs but kept our friends awake. We returned to the Rembrandt for one night at the end of our holiday but were given a room with several stairs up to it which was a No No. The Receptionist kindly gave us another room but it was a much smaller room than our original one. Can’t complain though.

A lovely clean hotel in the centre of the city close to all the restaurants and bars. Quiet and air conditions rooms were welcome in the extreme heat. Comfortable beds with a clean bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff . Long life milk for tea in the room would have been nice. Overall excellent hotel

My husband and I wanted a hotel that was in the old part of town in Bucharest. This did not disappoint. We specifically wanted a hotel that was European and not a US chain hotel. This hotel is absolutely charming. It is OLD and only a couple of blocks from a main Metro station and smack in the middle of everything old town. People laughing, eating, touring and having fun. The hotel, itself, is very small having only 41 rooms. There are 2 rooms to a floor. The staff is there 24/7 and was extremely helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful. It was enough for the whole day except there were too many good places to eat too close by the hotel. It is on a pedestrian st but about 50 meters from a Hilton which is on a main street. The streets are not cobblestone but stones set in the road and it would be rough if you are fully mobile. The elevator is an old brass one that you found in Paris 40 years ago, although is it a new replica. It fits 3 people or One person and a big suitcase. :) Next door is a small ice cream place called Pasteis de Nata. The best Natas outside of Portugal, and maybe in Portugal too. The bathrooms are large and the bath tub we had could hold 2 people easily. The water pressure was wonderful. I think the best thing about it was the 2 leather chairs that you could sink into and watch TV or have a glass of wine or beer. The outdoors can be noisy but the windows are double pained and when we closed them, there was no noise. If noise bothers you or you are a light sleeper, ask for a room in the back. I would stay here again, and it was a perfect choice for us. Oh, and oh yes, it was CLEAN.

We chose this hotel beacuse of the location, and it proved to be an excellent choice. All the action in Old Town is minutes (or even seconds) away, which is very convenient. Our room was neat, spacious and clean, and the breakfast was very good. This place had everything we could ask for. If I come back to Bucharest, I will definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights, one being a Sunday evening. Reason I say this; we stayed in the ‘wonderful room balcony’ which does indeed have a fantastic view of the city. Unfortunately, the air con system was faulty which meant keeping the balcony door open for air. Man, was the music pumping! No doubt, it would have been quieter had the door been closed but, just to warn you, you will hear music at the weekend. Monday night was much quieter. Hotel is an old style building which I much prefer to the ‘faceless’ Marriotts. Staff were polite. Air con system was fixed during our stay so no complaints there. My only gripe; breakfast was bland, mediocre. The addition of some fruit would have improved it somewhat.

Centrally located in a great spot right next door to the Van Gogh cafe. Room (21) is spacious with all amenities you would expect . You are right in the city centre and it is wonderfully vibrant and lively , expect some noise ( you are on holiday after all) . The Staff are all amazing ,always available to help and advise. We would definitely recommend you stay at this little gem of a hotel . We love supporting independent local businesses and we weren’t disappointed

The hotel is located on a pedestrianised* street in the centre of the ‘old town’, so it is perfectly situated for sightseeing on foot, and near an abundance of bars/cafes/restaurants. (*Of course, this does mean that cars/taxis can’t come right to the hotel door, so there is a very short walk to and from the nearest place they can stop.) On arrival, we were warmly welcomed; and all the staff we met (in reception and in the breakfast room) were very friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English. There is a small, ‘old-fashioned’ style lift (elevator) to reach the upper floors, but it worked well! The rooms were large, comfortable, well-furnished (in an older, more traditional style) and impressively clean, with good storage space and amenities including luggage rack, tea/coffee making, individual toiletries, and slippers. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The over-bath shower functioned very well. Very importantly (because there was unusually hot weather for the time of year when we stayed), the air conditioning was very efficient. We thought the breakfast was excellent for a hotel of this size. There were hot drinks, juices, hot omelette slices, boiled eggs, cereals, bread, rolls, pastries & cake, a selection of jam & other spreads, salami and cheese (and possibly other things I’ve forgotten too), and everything tasted fresh. There were just a couple of things that have led me to rate this as 4/5 rather than 5/5, although I’m not sure that either is really the hotel’s fault. Firstly, one of our nights was a Saturday and – despite the double-glazing - we were disturbed by noise (mainly loud music, presumably from a nearby venue) until well into the early hours of the morning. However, the other night was quiet – so perhaps this is just a Saturday night problem (or a one-off bad experience). Secondly, staff and guests tended to congregate right outside the front door of the hotel to smoke and vape, and the smoke seemed to come into the reception area, and also funneled up into the mezzanine breakfast room when the windows were open, and possibly to the bedrooms at the front of the hotel. I realise this wouldn’t be an issue for many people, but we are non-smokers and very sensitive to the smell of cigarettes. But overall, we thought this was an excellent hotel, and we would be very pleased to return if we come to Bucharest again.

Excellent hotel in the best location. Centrally located in Bucharests Old city, fabulous for all the sight seeing and for all the great bars and restaurants. The reception staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly and spoke great English. Breakfast was good. Room was very clean and comfortable. Definitely stay here again.
